hulkenberg leaves Williams, thought he did a good job for a rookie season tbh, Guess money talks.
yeah the hulk got dropped a little while back - hid did ok and got better with every race compared to barrichello. he wasnt dropped on performances, like you said money talks, Maldonado was highly fancied to get the williams drive. on the plus side for williams, he brings cash but also looks fast too, he's no Giovanni Lavaggi thats for sure

Triv, I was expecting a comment from you regarding the 2 Lotus teams next season. I am quite confused about this. Who is gonna keep the name? The original ones, or the Malaysian team

Malaysian team bought the rights to name 'team lotus' and say the had planned to have a black and gold livery to go with their renault engines next season (like mid eighties livery when lotus and renault were last together)

meanwhile, the Renault team has sold up completely to Genii and Proton (proton own the Lotus car company) and Proton wish to use F1 to promote Lotus cars, re-naming the team 'Lotus Renault' and also wish to have black and gold livery due to mid eighties lotus/renault links...

So they're both gonna be called Lotus and have renault engines with black and gold liveries...
Also, unless i'm mistaken, the rights to 'team lotus' name should involve the use of the iconic Lotus badge - which is also on Lotus cars, owned by proton so will they both have this badge too?

there was something on Twitter from Mike Gascoyne (Malaysian team) doing a colour poll between classic lotus liveries: green and yellow - black and gold - red and gold....

Green and yellow was the clear winner, so common sense says they will stick with green and yellow from this season - especially having seen the above picture from Renault

Nice, thanks. So the team being replaced is Sauber, right?

No, Sauber will still be there as their own team

The Renault team has been bought out completely by Genii and Proton so they are the team being replaced/renamed Lotus Renault (the team Kubica drives for)

The team Trulli and Kovalainen drive for will be called 'Team Lotus' the iconic name from Lotus' past and they already had a deal for Renault engines in place

That's one smokin hot paintjob!
yeah it looks hot

a new second favorite Team for me now behind Mclaren
my Uncle used to work for Lotus when Senna was driving for them so they were my fave team as a kid... My uncle went to Williams, Lotus went down the pans and Senna went to Mclaren and so did i (supporting)

as this buy out of Renault has Lotus cars behind them then this for me is the proper return of Lotus in F1 despite whatever Fernandes does

Maldonado has the cash that Williams need as well as being similar age and ability to the Hulk

HRT haven't pulled out so they should be on the grid for the start of 2011
BBC Sport said:
Hispania team owner Jose Ramon Carabante insists the rock-bottom team will be on the grid next season, despite the collapse of a deal with Toyota to build next year's cars. Carabante added the team are talking to "five or six" drivers about their 2011 line-up.
No new teams for 2011, although the Renault team will be named Lotus Renault
KERS is back, all the teams must have KERS this time around, also adjustable rear wings to aid overtaking
No double diffusers for 2011 and no F-Duct (because of the adjustable rear wing)
Maldonado has got skill, he's no worse than Hulkenburg, just he has financial backing from sponsorship in his home country who are willing to pay mega-bucks to have a Venezualan in F1
