Haha i love McLaren bias
Mika Hakkinen is my all-time favorite driver (except Senna) he outqualified Senna on his McLaren Debut... but he isn't the 3rd best driver in F1 history

I am a huge Hamilton fan and he will grace the top five before he retires, he needs at least one more title (which shouldn't be a problem) remember his puncture in spain (where he had outpaced Vettel in the race) when second with 3 laps to go? 18 points lost, Vettel finished season just 16 points ahead on Hamilton. A puncture away from winning the title in the 3rd fastest car....

Lewis Hamilton will be World Champion in 2011

I'm not going to be making any predictions until winter testing is going on, would e great to see Hamilton win another title but McLaren will have to improve to become more competitive.

in 2009 they had by far the best KERS system so they should lead the way in 2011 and the moveable rear wing is a variation of the F-Duct which they pioneered and should suit Hamilton's bravery in overtaking. Also McLarens 2010 weakness was the blown diffuser that is no longer allowed in 2011.

Obviously there is no way of telling until pre-season testing gets started but a lot of the new regs should favour McLaren as long as they don't make a dog of a car

sorry i meant they were my all time favorite drivers :P and i adore Mclaren have done since the dayz of Senna and Prost fightng against each other in the red and white Malboro cars, i loved that colour design wish they'd a kept it and maybe put a diffrent sponsor on them when tobacco advertising was banned,ah the good ol dayz of F1 when team mates hated each other and fight to the death.

Love Mclaren Hate Ferrari and webber lol

As a big Ferrarri fan, my top 5 favourite drivers are obviously -

1.) Michael Schumacher (...duh)
2.) Kimi Raikkonen (Loved him even from his McLaren days. "Iceman" indeed.)
3.) Fernando Alonso (The one man who beat both the above 2 drivers for the title in successive years.)
4.) Lewis Hamilton (He has all the makings of a future legend. Racer to the core.)
5.) Mark Webber (I just love his attitude. "Not bad for a 2nd driver, eh?")

Narain Karthikeyan is returning to F1 2011 driving for Hispania

This announcement means that Karun Chandhok (who raced for Hispania in 2010) is unlikely to retain a seat in the team. Bernie Ecclestone had wanted Chandhok to remain in F1 2011, with the innaugral Indian GP due to be held on 30 October, to help attract a large crowd - but with Karthikeyan being Indian Chandhok is likely to miss out.

Bruno Senna has been ruled out of the second Hispania drive, Team Boss Colin Kolles said on Friday that Senna would definitely not be staying, telling Reuters: "I can definitely say that Mr Bruno Senna is not going to race for Hispania - 100% not."

So the 2011 grid is almost complete:

Red Bull:
1 Sebastian Vettel
2 Mark Webber

McLaren
3 Lewis Hamilton
4 Jenson Button

Ferrari
5 Fernando Alonso
6 Felipe Massa

Mercedes
7 Michael Schumacher
8 Nico Rosberg

Lotus Renault
9 Robert Kubica
10 Vitaly Petrov

Williams
11 Rubens Barrichello
12 Pastor Maldonado

Force India
14 TBA
15 TBA

Sauber
16 Kamui Kobayashi
17 Sergio Perez

Toro Rosso
18 Sebastien Buemi
19 Jaime Alguersuari

Team Lotus
20 Heikki Kovalainen
21 Jarno Trulli

Hispania
22 Narain Karthikeyan
23 TBA

Virgin
24 Timo Glock
25 Jerome D'Ambrosio

Just three seat remain, the second Hispania and both Force India seats. It looks likely that Force India will retain Adrian Sutil with either Tonio Liuzzi, Paul Di Resta or Nico Hulkenburg his teammate. Liuzzi or Di Resta could also complete the Hispania lineup once Force India lineup has be confirmed.

im really looking forward to this years f1 championship. I will be following Ferrari as i have since i first watched f1. THe only disappointment i have about f1 is never seeing Ayrton Senna race

Looks like Lotus will replace Kubica now. If its a long term replacement they will look for a more experienced driver, if not, it will be Bruno Senna (reserve driver for Lotus)

Feel sorry for Kubica. Apparently he may never race again.

Yeah he's got metal pins in his arm from a crash earlier in his career so the damage to that arm for a second time may restrict the movement he has in that arm and it may be be to weak to handle stresses of driving an F1 car. Too early to say though.

It a shame if he isnt able to recover, he is the best current driver in F1 who hasn't won the world championship in my opinion and he seemed likely to replace Massa at Ferrari for 2012 which would've given him the chance to show the world how good he really is.

Its a huge kick in the teeth for Lotus/Renault team, traditionally a team that focuses around one main driver. The new car looks quick, Kubica finishing the first re-season test a couple of days ago with the fastest time. Lotus/Renault are unlikely to replace Kubica with a number one driver - just in case he makes a full recovery - it seems likely that reserve drivers Bruno Senna or Romain Grosjean will get the seat in Kubica's absence and then just drop back down to reserve if/when Kubica returns.

If Kubica doesn't return then Lotus/Renault may be stuck with 2 average drivers in a car that may well be close on pace to the front runners - needing a 'Kubica' to make the extra difference from just collecting points to picking podiums and even wins.

I'm proper gutted for the lad, 'multiple fractures' never sounds good. I hope he makes a full recovery and doesn't end up missing too many races.

Apparently the damage to his hand is major, enough alone to force him into retiring

Kubica's had an absolutely massive accident on the rally stage today. Due to injuries previously sustained as well as this potentially career-ending crash, it will be unlikely if he races again. Apparently, one of his arms is held together with titanium bolts, which have no doubt been weakened by the crash. If he never races again, that will be sad; he's a great lad and driver

new mclaren car is looking slick as per usual mp4-26 my favorite number 26 just hope its a good omen for the coming year its got to be our year constructors and world title :D must say i do rather like the renault this year nice colours, hope red bull have some major mechanical issues in every race :P roll on march

'L' shape side pods look radical, i hope this different design approach pays off
