We seem to be operating on the glass cannon theory this season, We will out score you. We need to shore up our defence, Hopefully the youth intake can giv me some options. ll this said we are still 5th and still at the right end battling away.

The champions league knockout stages are why we are all here. We faced Italian and champions league powerhouse AC Milan. So how did we get on?

Any result in the San Siro would of been good but to win in the 94th minute was the stuff dreams are made of.

Surley we could capitlise on our advantage at Footes Lane? More than I ever thought possible. Smashing AC Milan to pieces! Coasting through 8-3 on aggregate.....

Obviously the league cup is kind of rubbish now we are mighty champions league team. However we went on good run so why not continue.

3rd round we beat Newcastle 4-0 at St. James'

4th round Brighton put up the fight aginst us they always do.

Quarter final saw us overcome a resilient Middlesborough

Semi final drew us against Man Utd after a stale 1-1 draw at Old Trafford, We outclassed them at Footes Lane.

Another year another final. Man city would oppose us.

We had 3 goals disallowed THREE! Angry as **** about this. I'll be looking for revenge next we meet. Second league cup final we have given away.

Not the perfect run but we are flying now make no mistake about it, Asante and Kentish have both found there scoring boots. We are a match for anyone in this league on this form! Man Utd deserved to beat us, Southhampton however are the 11 luckiest men alive. We ran rings around them and still lost!

Second yes that's right second! Liverpoolare still a game in hand so the league is theres to lose now.

Onto other matters we had the small distraction of a champions league quarter final against Barcelona.

We needed a result at Footes Lane and we duly got it! That away goal could be dangerous however.

We were going out until Asante rose to the occasion in the 83rd minute. A loss on the day still meant a win aggregate. We are in the semi finals!

Semi Final of the champions league at the first time of asking is alot further than i anticipated us going. Juventus waited.

Away from home quite frankly we got a good hiding and gave ourselves a mountin to climb in the second leg.

We needed a 3 goal margin to even stand a chance. A step to far for us this season.

I kept exspecting to lose and we kept winning all the way until the semi finals. The bar has been set high for next season.

We were second so what has changed? We have still been in good form but for a few blips.

With one game to go we are first! It is in our own hands as our goal difference is huge!

So we needed to beat Tottenham to guarantee ourselves the title. We drew 3-3 in the perfect game for the neutral. We needed Chelsea to at least draw to be in with a shot of the title now.

We have still jumped 2 places and finished runner up in the premier league. An immense achievement given the age of the club. It has been a storming season, I will be looking to challenge properly next season.

One of our players is also the third best player in the world! Either Mcmahon or Salt will win this in a few year IMO.

A true club legend has also left the playing squad. He was at the club when i arrived and played well above his means for so many years it was scary! I was more than happy to have him see out his contract even if he only played 5 times in his last season.

It seems if i concider dropping a player Man City seem to think he is the best in the world! He only played as much as he did last season due to another player breaking their leg!

He would never of got those wages off me! He was good but rarley did he ever put a shift in. Players statistically inferior to him always out performed him. So he is no great loss and that £40m will no doubt upgrade something.

Okey, I have now read every singel page the last two days. Theres not much to say really. I gotta give you props for starting so low, 9th tier. Your save is an insiration, I hope I some day will manage to take a club from the bottom to the top. So congrats, you are in the CL and have achieved as much as a football manager can do. Simply brilliant.

But there are one thing I simply can't understand. Stacy Salt, when you posted the first SS when he was 15 years old, his stats was ok. But he had 7 in passing, and alot of other stats which was low. When you posted a new SS of him, when he had become a freaking beast, his stats had just jumped through the roof. He went from 7 to 20 in passing, and other stats also was weirdley high. In my expirience the highest improved stats have maybe been around 5. Is this simpley a weird greyed out player which FM desided to become world class? or are you a user of FMRTE?

I so wish i could transfer over my Radcliffe Borough team from fm 12 lol i took them from way down the leagues upto the heights of european football,But that was with signing players..was well into 2040! my girlfriend hated me by then haha

He is a bit of an odd one i grant you, Like i said in my post i've only ever seen it happen once before on any version of football manager/championship manager before. He is currently worth just shy of £40m on my save and is one of the best central midfielders in the game. His PA must of been through the roof. He was specifically trained in a few key stats, but with what must be high PA it has seen his stats jump exponentially. Without scrolling through the post i can't remember what page i originally posted Stacy Salts SS but i just had a look on my game and his passing is currently 17. He has been put on passing training to hopefully put it back up. That said he has had about 4-5 biggish stat drops aswell,Maybe my training isn't doing him any favours? With high enough PA i believe it is possible for stats to jump all the way from 1 to 20. Finally no I don't use FMRTE :)

I have been incredibly fortunate with youth intake. I've only had 3 that produced no useable players for me. Keeping ontop of the facilities has been key in this though lol

I'm a 8th(Just promoted) tier team (Darlington) and cannot find the funding for upgrades, so I have to just go with what I get.
