TheOpiate, man unbeaten run with QPR at Premier league is not easy at all. Unlucky lose to Villa. Your club's aim was to avoid relegation?

Megapicks, well you might wanna try without playing offside to see if it's effective? =P cos with Liverpool i actually didnt have alot of offsides =)

Ive tried using this with my Birmingham City team.
My strikers are struggling to score and i cant find any winning ways.
Any chane of some help, people to bring in etc.

Would you need a list of my players for each poistion.?
 
Yes please do so =) If you playing Birmingham, try notch 3 times down for tempo as they are the lower end of mid table. Like i say, you need good midfielders. Are your midfielders taking too much shots? or not passing enough? You need a complete striker or poacher(benitez) on the right and a good target man to team with benitez. Once again, i would like to highlight that midfield is very important for this tactic. If their longshots are not good (lower than 14) then make them shoot rarely or sometimes. Let me know your problems and i'll try to help you as much as i can:)

Well, it did me good. Helped me go from 17th on the table to 10th. Aim of the club is just to avoid relegation, but I hope to get into top 10. Then go for an european qualification spot the next season
 
dude when i make some signings in the summer i will probably try this!! but i dont want to cheat haha

lol what you mean by cheating? i doubt oakes will cheat. Your story have been really good to be honest =)

The help is really appreciated mate.
At the moment my midfielders are Carsley, Taino(sp?), Ferguson, Larsson, Mcfadden and Bowyer.
Not sure wether to play Mcfadden as the target man though?
 
Lol.. well not really cheating i guess. So far got one or two are not getting the desired results they want. Would be interested if lower or smaller teams can use this tactic too =P

You probably need a proven target man. Jump, heading around 15 with decent height. Kelvin philips could be rather good as target man support. Could try Vratislav Lokvenc(free transfer) got 15heading, 15finishing. Play ferguson on CM(right) support, pass more. Bowyer AMC, Carsley DM defend. Someone for Box to box midfielder dunno who though. Hope it helps.

Typically, the player you have recommended is not on my database lol.

Aww man, probably bcos you didnt load certain database. I always had him for smaller teams. Try to find a good target man with heading and at least a passing 12. do let me know your results and league position =)

What type of pitch do you use for this tactic?

Standard, Minimum allowed or Maximum allowed?

hey milster, i not sure but the width should be narrower and the length should be bigger. Feedbacks appreciated =)
 
will try this tactic with my new chester. hope it works, so far cant seem to find a good 4-1-2-1-2 tactic.

do i change the starting strategy to counter or defensive when i'm not the favourites or stick with control?
 
stick with control whether you are favourites or not =) shouldnt have any problem with it. I did not touch my liverpool formation for 50over matches, never lose a single match =)

not sure about chester though, cos i did not really play this tactic with smaller clubs yet.
 
Should be working for all patches as my friend have tested it out for me. Works pretty well for him.
