Black Cats Break Transfer Record Twice
Giovani Vela has broken the Sunderland AFC transfer record twice in July 2011. First off Vela bought English right back Kyle Walker for a reported £14.5 Mil. The 21 year old moves to Sunderland from Tottenham. Then only days later Vela made a move for Brazilian playmaker Hernanes for £17 Mil. The 26 year old moves to Sunderland from Sao Paulo.
Sunderland are now reportedly looking at Danny Welbeck for a loan move from Man Utd, and out of favour goalkeeper Renan Ribero loan to buy deal from Barcelona.
Sunderland Manager Giovani Vela has said he will not be a part of any transfers in the rest of this transfer window. He has said that he has bought enough players to improve, and sold enough players to satisfy the finances section of the club.

Sunderland in Style
Sunderland AFC have release there 2011/12 kits, with new shirt sponsor, British Airways. Sunderland kept shirt manufacturer Umbro on from last season. The big shock is the deviation away from stripes on the home kit, with a simple halved kit, red and white, the style this year. A black and silver striped away keeps the striped tradition, while a dark sky blue is the choice for the third.
Before the season started, Giovani Vela said he would be happy with a 12th place finish. With one month gone in the Premier League, Vela's Sunderland are sitting in 13th place.
