Im looking for tips on how to get more players involved in possession.

I get decent stats from the middle but not down the side for build up..

that was aN 8-0 win, just wanna increase passing for the front two without losing the attacking edge.
 
Use play wider and exploit the flanks?

Gonna try that over the nexy few games, hopefully it wont lose the play from the middle which is going great.
 
Basically, if you want all your players to be involved in possession play, you want all of them to run from deep rarely, or drop deep, whatever you want to call it...dlp role will do that by default (bring the ball out of defence), as will some striker and amc position roles, just read the description...as for the wing backs, and fullbacks, they should perhaps be ordered to hold position in player instructions, so they make themselves available to receive the ball....team instruction that will make all your players run from deep rarely is take a breather, regardless of their roles...

I pushed the 2 complete wing backs into wide mide (auto) roles as well as the suggested exploit flanks..

lost some in the middle as expect but possesion was as high and a bit more spread with close to half the team on 100 passes each.. nearly.
 
I've stolen your formation and tried to put my own take on the instructions, I seem to be getting the same as you at the moment. Everyone has a lot of passes, but a lot of the passing is concentrated in the wide areas, but if you look at the formation I guess that's to be expected. Nothing with the front 3 should be changed as they are crucial to the CCC's and 1-2 passes up front like you said.

I think there aren't enough bodies in between the lines connecting the midfield and attack as I Seem to struggle for possession sometimes too so there isn't much pressure on the opposition in the middle

I've amended it again since then. The 2 Regs are getting 130+ the half back and the Treq about 110 on average, with 60-80 around the rest.

Might be your player instructions i'm yet to fall below 60% possesion, or score less than 3..

Fairly typical at the minute to get around 5 CCC's and 5 half chances, I've got 59/65/61 possession my last 3 games, one of them was against really weak opponents so I fielded a strong lineup to see just how good it could be but I'm not getting a particulary high possession state. Not sure why.

In terms of player instructions I've got everyone except the Registas and the AMC with "pass shorter" and "play fewer risky passes" in the hope that they retain possession. The Registas seem to get around 110, and everyone else around 70-80 but with the front 2 with a lack of passes.

What are your player/team instructions like?
 
My pass success rate though is always around 92% which is easily the best I've managed from a possession based tactic
 
70% possesion and and 89% pass rate in my last game, away
 
Might just be my team im the celtic of my division at the min, till i get promoted. If i get time at the weekend i'll start a new save and build it to say everton or spurs or something.
