Alex Schalk you legend!

He made me breath more easily now! After the first match I was thinking "how will we even score"! It's such a burden, to much pressure thinking we don't have enough players and still being unable to add more proven players.

We broke the ice now! Yes we can score!

There wasn't much to see in this match as we were dominated by visitors who scored an own goal and gave us 3 points, but who cares now... I just want to celebrate now as our fans do!

"YOU SHALL NOT PASS EASILY HERE" yessss... that's the spirit!

Oh OK. Check for Kasper Oldenburg. I am playing FC Groningen and he looks like a promising, yet cheap prospect.
Anyway congratulations on winning, I hope you keep posting on as it is fantastic. Keep it up =)

maybe i'll make a start on a save with sc heerenveen this evening.
getting a bit bored after winning the leaque and 2fa cups and a cl with arsenal

Been reading this story and absolutely think it's great ! Love the layout and all of the other factors you've included such as the history and the fans input ! I had a save recently with Heerenveen in Holland and found the Eredivisie a very good league to manage in , although I know you've got a lack of funds try Virgil Misidjan as an attacker for next season if possible , I had him on loan for Heerenveen and he smashed it , plus he's Dutch , young and would be available for loan or transfer in the region of 2/3 million ! Keep up the good work , loving it so far

Thanks guys for your recommendations. I have shortlisted them. Many of them were not even scouted by my lazy scout, Wiltord (H)

PLAYERS IN

Ismail H'Maidat - free transfer
Lorenzo Arends - free transfer
Lassad - free transfer
Junior Lima dos Santos - free transfer
Franck Minvielle - free transfer
Aaron Kuhl - on loan from Reading
Mario Gregurina - on loan from Slaven Belupo
Franck Julienne - free transfer

PLAYERS OUT

Marnix Kolder - 19.25k to Mechelen
Jeffrey Rijsdijk - free transfer to Dordrecht
Sjoerd Overgoor -
375k to KRC Genk

I actually accepted a bid for Overgoor after the deadline has passed in Holland, seems like in Belgium it lasts few hours more.
Overgoor wasn't going to get any playing time and this surprising bid saves me some wages and gives me money to spend in january.

The two players who joined in last day

Franck Julienne

View attachment 255206

A 23 years old winger/striker who was released from Stade Rennais.
He possesses great speed and can play in several positions in attack.
His agent wasn't willing to go for less than 2k/week but finally we settled for 1.4k/week.

Mario Gregurina

View attachment 255205

26 years old Croatian joins on loan from Slaven Belupo.
He has been playing regularly in Croatian top division and as a versatile midfielder with low wages (500/week) he is an ideal option for our squad.

This leaves me with 219k to spend and 4.45k weekly available for salaries, just in case some free agent shows up.

Looking good. Look at Vincent Adeboyejo, young 17 years old striker from Leyton Orient. I got him for 45k€ and he has proven as decent backup in Groningen.

Keep it up!

Lucas Andersen (Ajax) (63)
Lesly De Sa (GA Eagles) (75)

Joy! An incredible 1 point against mighty Ajax, and how much sweeter can it get when you see Lesly De Sa scoring against his parent club? :)
This isn't just a regular draw, it's also a sign that things might work well for Eagles this season. A counter-attacking 4-4-2 proved to be solid at the back and dangerous when going forward, especially from two wingers Reimerik and De Sa who were a threat for opponents defenders, trying to find Lassad in the penalty area.
The most rated player in our team was Giliano Wijnaldum.

Lesley de Sa (79)

Brave & confident after the draw against Ajax, this was our team in this match, and the result itself shows our domination. And yes, finally Lassad! He scored two goals capitalizing in crosses from our wingers who are getting better each game (De Sa & Reimerik). The man of the match though didn't go to Lassad but to De Sa instead.

View attachment 254261

With 7 points in first 4 games, we can't be more satisfied and determined.

hope you can keep it up.
but will become hard with suspensions and injurys I think

Lassad (19, 55)
Trent Strainsbury (77 own goal)

A fantastic win, a splendid performance by our dominating striker, Lassad! It's the second game in a row that we have higher ball possession and we create more chances than our opponents.
This was very tense game, where unfortunately two Zwolle players had to leave the match earlier and four players got booked. This caused the media to attack me after the match blaming my tactics and aggressive game.
Of course, we feel sorry but this wasn't our intention, the players were just unlucky there.

Franck Julienne (34, 73, 77pen)
Joop Van der Linden (90)

An outstanding performance from our team! I decided to give the chance to Julienne instead of Schalk, and he surprised us all! He even said that it was way of out imagination that he could ever have such a debut in Eredivise! It was an instinctive decision and now we are very happy for him.

People learn something new everyday, and I found out today that we played against the team which has a cool name, perhaps second in the league (after us) but definitely with the longest one in Holland and perhaps in whole world:

NAC Breda =
Nooit opgeven altijd doorgaan, Aangenaam door vermaak en nuttig door ontspanning, Combinatie Breda.
Which in english means: "Never give up, always persevere. Pleasant for its entertainment and useful for its relaxation"

How about that for a club name? (H)

When I told this to Franck Julienne, he said "oh no, now I will never be able to tell my grandson properly against which team I scored my first ever hat-trick"

Thanks,

Ron Jans is still there, Zwolle are at 9th position so maybe they are sticking with him for a while :)

I am enjoying tactics very much so far, the only concern is what will happen if I lose Lassad or De Sa, which are so far my top performers

Orlando Engelaar (9) - Twente
Franck Julienne (14, 19)
Lassad (66)

Another two goals from our shadow striker, Franck Julienne, who won the "man of the match" award for second time in a row. He is making a fantastic partnership with Lassad in attack, who so far has been our most rated player and second in the league, only after Memphis Depay.
Twente just couldn't cope with our game and they were suffering most of the game while we shot 24 times from which, 11 were on target. A pretty entertaining match at De Adelaarshorst, and our EAGLE seemed proud too.

Ibrahima Toure (90+4) Dordrecht

I was looking our schedule after Twente win, and thinking "where might we eventually slip?". Vitesse and Feyenoord are big threats at round 9 and 10, but I didn't think at all we will drop points at Dordrecht who were lying bottom of the league with only 2 points from 7 matches.
With 60% ball possession and crazy 23 shots on goals, we dominated the host team, but we lacked concentration in the final seconds and this cost us with second defeat of the season.
Ismail H'Maidat and Aaron Kuhl made their debuts today, coming as subs in second half.
Kuhl is very young but he is already showing he can be a true leader, he has a fighting character.

The match against amateur club, Feyenoord SV was a great chance for us to test the reserve players. A big win with which helps us bring the confidence back. "Mr.Hat-trick", Franck Julienne, scored for fun today and dos Santos scored his first ever goal for Eagles.

No matter what game it is, our fans are always there to support us. I love this city!

A fan approached me after the game for a photo and gave me a nice present:

...which gave me an idea: "each of us at the club, we must drink our morning coffe in such cups".

We must all do our work with greatest respect.

Two points against such opponents are very much welcomes. I'm glad that we survived against Feyenoord, where things started to turn for better when their Jordy Classie was sent-off and than we took control and scored two goals. I'm happy especially for our young winger, M'Haidat, who scored his first ever goal for Eagles.
Junior Lima dos Santos, has replaced injured Lassad in starting lineup, and could not have been better than scoring in each of these games.

Meanwhile I get first signals from some players who are unhappy with their playing time, such as Wesley Verhoek, whom I can't really let go, but I can't also play him before Lesley de Sa.

We'r out of the cup. Ajax hammered us in last 15 minutes and turned this match around by dominating us. It's the third match we are without Lassad, which troubles us because Dos Santos, even though talented, still doesn't have the quality.
It's amazing how Franck Julienne has started his career at Eagles, he is unstoppable, always in right time, right place, and keeps scoring like crazy.

Lassad (19, 67)
Franck Julienne (34pen)

A big comeback for Lassad, scoring two goals and deservedly winning "Player of the match" award. This was a match with tension in the field and in the stands.
Iakovenko and Wilson got injured for Den Haag; overall five yellow cards and also their Abel Tamata got sent off.
Our attacking duo is becoming lethal in this league, and this hurts for some of opponents. Some of them were throwing insults towards Julienne after he scored the penalty.

View attachment 253662

And this made some of our fans to react also and one of them even went in the field. as he later said "To protect my heroes"

View attachment 253660

Deniz Turuc stopped him and convinced him to leave the pitch so the match could resume.

That's football, someone's wins is someone's defeat. You have to accept that.

Another point away, in a match with much more tension than previous one. Four players for each side got booked and two players from home side were left injured.
We had the possession but failed to win against the team lying in bottom of the league.

Lorenzo Arends made his debut for Eagles while Aaron Kuhl was voted "Player of the match".

Another draw, which sends us now 7th in Eredivisie. Had to rest Lassad, and we struggle without him. Our harsh match (20 fouls) didn't deliver this time. Cambuur were much more elegant in the field (5 fouls against us) and had 2 shots on target, compared to our 9.

I'm very satisfied with our achievements so far. I was expecting a fight for bottom of the league but so far we are way over expectations.

A team which was predicted to finish 14th, is now at 6th and fighting for a spot which sends us in euro competitions. Considering the financial position compared to other clubs, we are the best surprise of the season so far.

Congratulations, you are playing very good. Lassad and Julliene are lethal weapon for enemies =) Can I ask you what type of formation are you playing?
Haha AZ and Twente are doing "good" I see. (I remebered in my save with OM, Twente actually managed to get relegated).
Anyway keep doing good job. =)

Thanks man. It's a joy to see your two strikers scoring and assisting each other. So far its one of my most entertaining saves for a while. That's perhaps I used to like only 4-1-2-3 wings and used actually only one striker and two wingers.

In this save I hesitated initially, but than get used to like switching between 4-4-1-1 and 4-4-2, which are pretty much the same but some individual roles change (mostly wing players). I use counterattacking in both tactics. Both are modified from Artisan's 4-4-2 tactic.

Lassad is DLF in both tactics, while Julienne is DF in 442 and SS in 4411. With fast paced players in the wing, many chances are created for forwards, hence the number of goals scored :)
