Did you like the pun? :p

In all my hours of FM I have never managed an unbeatable season so I thought it was time to change that :D

So I'm going to try and beat Arsenal's amazing record of 49 games unbeaten (36 wins) I have used the lfc marshall transfer update and will be playing as arsenal.

I will be playing as Thierry Henry a pinnacle player of the invincible's (which I still cant spell)

Keeping morale high throughout is imperative, so motivating and level of discipline have to be on 20, while tactician coaches and technique are also hard to find so I put them on 20 as well :)

Training I revamp the coaches at arsenal, most of them are actually quite good but I need specialisation for this to work every category has 4 stars.

I also go on the team report and notice that our worst attribute is strength so I will be focusing general training on fitness with the rest on match tactics (untill they learn it at least).

The tactic I spent ages deciding how I was going to set up my team.
In the end I decided that Arsenal's biggest strength was its pace in our attacking players, and our best attribute according to the team report is work rate which I found ironic this idea that all the lads work really hard but aren't fit enough to pull it off ;)

So I decide to go an attacking mentality, flexible team shape, high tempo, direct passing and closing down much more. The logic is that players like sanchez and walcott will be able to run at them quickly using the strength in pace and everyone will keep pressure with the closing down tactic. However my defensive unit will be mainly focusing on their defensive duties as I don't trust them enough to do a job pressing forward. Oh yea :p Im playing 4-2-3-1 with a defensive midfielder.

So then the moment you've all been waiting for transfers!

I didn't want to make too many changes not only for team cohesion but I want this to be a recognisable arsenal side for the most part anyway.

Looking at their squad like I knew before hand anyway what arsenal needed which was 3 signings. A striker, A defensive midfielder and a centre back.

I put the expectation to win the premiership so we have money to spend.

So first off striker obviously the position that's going to cost the most makes sense to look first.

With all the talk of benzema I figured I should take a look, just like in real life he's not interested.

After a quick look the only upgrade on giroud who was available and interested was ...

Higuain! (50m)

and despite interest from chelsea and man u we got him here granted he's on loads but he's quality I mean

finishing 17, composure 16, off the ball 18, acceleration and strength 14. He is my 2014 henry :p

Next up defensive midfielder there were 3 choice all very similar lars bender, sven bender and luis gustavo. I went for Lars Bender, his work rate is 20 and aggression a little lower while and he's slightly better defensively which is what I want wanted.

His arrival means artera and flamini aren't needed so out they go brining in just enough money to bring in my third and final signing a centre back.

Matt Hummels!

He'll fit in well with the german lads not the quickest of players but playing along side Koscielny should conter-act that.

My plan is to rotate as little as possible for the league whilst cup competitions and champions league aren't a priority I will try and stay competitive in them.

So then let me introduce the eleven that will hopefully be the new invincibles!

My only concern is the defence are debuchy and gibbs good enough? time will tell but a pretty good XI if I dont say so myself.

Gibbs gets the go ahead over monreal there about the same and besides its nice too have another english lad in there I've only got 2 in the starting line up!

Well we lost the community shield 1-0 ...

But it doesn't matter its another pre-season match for us before the real test begins the premier league!

The first fixture is kind to us Bournemouth no disrespect to Bournemouth but surely were going to win big here.

Game 1 of the Invincible challenge Here we go :)

...

Unbeaten streak back down to zero :p we were a bit unlucky but there you do dont worry not restarting obviously to get the record its going to be over two seasons anyway so we can still do this I'm going to set myself the goal of a maximum of 3 seasons to get this achievement so hang on tight!

We hit them hard and fast, and while not having a lot of the ball we destroyed united! 5-1 get in Higuain looks amazing 3 games 7 goals!!!

Games 3 Unbeaten 1

Oh i drew Madrid, Olmpiakos and Sparta Prague in the Champions League spots and west ham for capital one cup

Transfers i.e rivals bought Callejon from Napoli, Chelsea bought Bernard from shaktar and City bought Yarmolenko and LFC bought austin

Mertesacker and Monreal are already complaining about game time I talk them down but that might be a problem at some point.

Nice transfers there...

If I were you, I'd revert to a DM-CM-CM midfield trio.. Bender sitting deep as regista or half back with Ramsey and Chamberlain as box to box midfielders..that offers more balance imo..
also then, Sanchez on right wing and Ozil or Cazorla(immense) on the left wing.. both as AP or IF or Raumdeuters, any permutations from these 3, and then Higuain as the lone striker, whichever role suits him the best..
also, Chambers is the better RB than Debuchy, any he can be a perfect WB(Au), while your LB definitely needs improvement than Gibbs or Monreal..

Walcott is an amazing super sub but injury prone, and if you get a good enough bid, he's dispensable! AOC and Ramsey are AMAZING!!

Champions League Match

So I want to rest my key players for the main priority the league, but on the other hand I don't want to disrupt the side and ive got a few people who have already complained about 1st team football.

So i make a few changes not too many though, Mertsacker, Monreal, Wilshere and Gibbs all come in while Ozil is still being rested after tacking a minor knock everyone else keeps their place.

oh i loaned out campbell btw on deadline day

we win 2-0 wilshere is out for 3 weeks

Capital one Cup

screw it im resting everyone with chelsea being the next match has to be done

2-1 win close bring on chelsea!

thanks m8, chambers is an interesting thought I'll play him there and see how he does not sure if I agree about AOC at a CM role but thanks for your input none the less
