I've seen enough tonite to be confident that we can turn them over at the Bridge. I do feel we didn't deserve to lose, although no one deserved to win. We dominated possesion and shots. What did they have, like 4 shots in the whole game? Lucio had a good game, although the commentators (Southgate in particular) were just licking his **** a bit too much. Drogba was terrible besides his freekick and Anelka was non-existant.

Worse news of all is Cech, if it's as bad as first thought then it could ruin our season. Especially with Hilarious as back up. Did anyone see his kicking? :'(

hilario aint a bad keeper and his kicking wernt bad he was passing it to malouda if you noticed remember when chech got that head injury hilari was a brilliant replacement and has kept clean sheets against teams like barcelona and liveprool

They probably had the better chances though.:P

Those commentaters really didn't rate ivanovic.XD Saying he was no good going forward. Whenever i have seen him he has been great going forward.oO) Even when he set up the goal they said he stumbled forward.XD

I don't think it will be as easy as you all think. You're all forgetting the biggest factor in this whole tie. Jose Mourinho! He knows the Chelsea players better than Ancelotti does, and he knows their strengths and weaknesses. He's got the players at Milan to tell them to do something and they have the quality to go out and do it, hence why despite Chelsea dominating, everyone is saying that the big boys of Chelsea (Lampard, Drogba, Anelka) were all woeful. Mourinho knows that if you keep those 3 quiet you keep Chelsea quiet. Kalou scored today, a very good goal but looking at the replay it was more bad goalkeeping than anything. So he knows how to play against Chelsea, it honestly wouldn't surprise me if Inter won 1-0 at the Bridge and knocked Chelsea out.

yh mourinho knows chelseas players but ancelotti has different tactics to him and also chelsea will be at home with all our fans backing us and how many of inters players have played at stamford bridge before ??

Ivanovic did alright i thought he was one of our better players tonight. Malouda also did a good job he just acted as a wingback.

The tactics may change, but the players don't. Mourinho knows Terry, Lampard and Drogba inside out. He knows their game better than he knows most of Inter's players probably. Whether you're at home, away or at a neutral ground, they will play their game no matter what tactics Ancellotti uses. He will sit someone on Lampard, probably Muntari or Cambiasso and then make sure the two center halfs do what they did tonight. If that happens I can't see Chelsea breaking them down, Stamford Bridge or no Stamford Bridge. With the fire power they have aswell, and if Hilario is the GK they may only need one chance throughout the game to score.

I know, he did extremely well in those matches. The odd match here and there is alright but if Cech's injury is as bad as first feared then im sure after a long run in goal he will get found out eventually and the mistakes will start coming.

Maybe, the only other clear chance they had was when Eto'o missed that sitter. Other than that, i only remember a shot from Maicon that went high and wide. On the subject of Maicon, he got found out serverly when defending, now i know why he's forward all the time.

Yeah i agree, Ivanovic is seriously underrated and is one of my favourite players at the club. Mainly because he doesn't moan or complain and just works hard in every match.
Im sure Liverpool fans will agree with me ;)

if essiens back for 2nd leg sneider wont be in the game. mikel let sneider do what he wanted but essienw ont essien will dominate that lil git the whole 90 minutes and your saying dont matter what stadium but it does teams have alot more confidence at there home grounds and drog on his night can destroy any defender in world football

chelsea will beat inter at home I reckon

first and only time i will proberly see a fulham fan reckoning chelsea are gunna win a game lol

Was amusing to see drogba get thrown about a bit by samuel, funny how he had no answer to it, albeit there were one or two half decent penalty shouts.

Kalou probably would have won the penalty had he not thrown his arms in the air when he went down, i think he made it look to theatrical. I think Chelsea have a good chance of going through but im finding it hard to see them keeping a clean sheet against inter at the bridge, particularly if inter have to score.

Got a feeling it will be one all at the bridge and a similar story at old trafford.. Dont really see arsenal making it past this stage either. Very pessimistic outlook on english hopes at the moment i admit but im sure Platini would love to see my 'prediction/rambling' become a reality.

But hey what do i know 8-|

Of course Drogba can, but Mourinho made Drogba who he is. Mourinho knows Drogba's strengths and weaknesses. He will know what he can/can't do. So he will make sure that Drogba doesn't get into the game, just like he did tonight. If Essien is back, he won't be fully fit, and if he is he won't be on the pitch to sit their and man mark Sneijder. He will be there so that he can explode like usual. Which will leave Sneijder free. It's going to be a tight game, but I don't think Chelsea will walk it at all. It's going to be a tight game, nowhere near as open as tonight, and I think that Inter may nick it 1-0 with an Eto'o goal.

last season essien was out for months and first game back already back to his best so a few weeks out wont make a difference to his performance and eto'o aint the player he used to be i honestly think his over rated and also zhirkov should be back to cover left back and we can put malouda at left wing were he has been brilliant all seaosn so he can get forward alot more and inter will be jet lagged from there plane flight were as chelsea will be fresh and confident for this game

such a big time zone difference. And they would travel up a few days earlier anyway.

They can't get jet lagged from a 3 hour flight. That's the first thing.

Secondly, he wasn't back to his best first match back, he has to feel his way back in to the side and get back into the flow of things. There is no way that he will be able to control the game like he normally does against a full strength Inter Milan who are in good form on his first game back from being out of action for 6 weeks.

Lucio

Is Balotelli good when I'm not watching? He seemed poor when I watched.

And Kalou might have got the penalty if he hadn't dived so theatrically. Serves him right.

still they aint used to playing in england the weather is freezing at the moment which might not be too good for em either

Your just splitting hairs now to be honest.

I'm not gonna bother predicting the result at Stamford Bridge, because I honestly have no interest, but I hope Inter win.

so has does that make the jet lagged, they are also professionals. so they will be able to deal with rain and cold.
