You got lied to ;)

RAM is cheap from hardware vendors and easy to install. I could teach my dog to install RAM. It is that easy. :P
 
Yeah i know, I got my pc custom build for about £700.00, It works great with with three nations and all leagues havent tried anymore yet as still playing the one save lol, my specs are INTEL (R) CORE (TM) 2 Duo Core CPU E7200 2.53GHZ(not that best but still works a treat)
320 g of memory plus an extra 1 TB of memory as back up and a 1 TB external harddrive lol
3g ram
windows vista prem 32 bit
NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT 1G grpahics card

plus extras like mouse keyboard and 17in HMDI screen and programes like word and anti vuris and other stuff.

lol wasnt me that was buying it lol, got told off the guy when i was buying my comp. Dell want you to buy there ram only and to get it delivered from them and buying it costs upto £100.

Your PC should be able to handle more than 3 Nations with all leagues pretty easily. I have a slightly faster E8400 in my system (albeit overclocked to 3.6Ghz (H)), and I can play with 10+ countries no problem.

yeah but i am playing on my arsenal save and really cant be bothered starting a new game when FM 11 coming out next week lol.

Graphics Card will struggle with the new ME.
I need a new laptop and tried the demo today with a Sony Vaio T7100 3GB Ram and processing was quick but ME in anything but 2D is rubbish!

Has anyone on here any ideas about improving the ME performance? I have updated Drivers and looked at forums etc but seems nothing can be done.
I am running Windows XP
 
tbh the 3d graphics are still very poor. Zidave what are your computer/laptop specs?

Its a Sony Vai0 VGN-CR19 VN/B
Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 1.80 GHz
Upgraded to 3GB RAM
Graphics Card is GMA X3100
Using XP not Vista.
3D performance is rated 0.5 stars :(
 
When did your friend pay 1,200 for it? 1999? Not really sure how he managed to pry 450 quid away from you for it. Looks like it belongs on Antiques Roadshow.

there's nothing you can really do except buy a new laptop. To buy a graphics card for a laptop is quite expensive and not worth it really.
 
I advise if you know someone, get them to build you a laptop or desktop computer. That's what Ive done, and I can run like 10 leagues, large database and still remain with 5 STARS.

Specs - Intel 2.1ghz proccesor
3GB Ram
Over 1TB free storage
Average Graphics Card
Computer is reasonalby new (1 Year) and works really well.

Does anyone know how many leagues I would be able to cope with on a large database?

what kind of intel is it? Core 2 duo, pentium, celeron?
 
Usually 4/5 on a Large with no trouble. Wanting to try a few more in 2011 for youth players.
