Blue Brazil Stay Up

Mbu_news.jpg

Cowdenbeath can look forward to another year in the Second Divsion of scottish football after finishing 8th. They had some great results and will be very pleased with there season. If the right players are brought in, they could consolidate further and look for promotion in a few years In the end, the margin was 3 points, but in reality they showed great fighting spirit for the whole year.

Beath Gaffer Resigns, Hobbs Takes Charge

Danny_Lennon_200910.jpg

After a great season in which Cowdenbeath stayed up, manager Danny Lennon (above) resigned, saying that he fell out with the chairman. The Cowdenbeath board acted quickly to employ former Semi-Pro footballer Frankie Hobbs, who enjoyed relative success with Hayes and Yeading, before a career ending broken arm meant he had to pursue a management career, this led him to being announced as Cowdenbeath manager, he looks to bring in quality and stave off relegation again.

New Boss Gets Busy

Frankie Hobbs has worked wonders in the transfer market, by getting 5 players in so far. This includes two players from EPL teams and one on loan from a SPL team. Frankie has said there could be more signings around the corner.

Frankie is thought to be most pleased with the signing of exciting youth prospect Hampshire, who lifelong Hearts fan Kris Jackson has predicted to go on to play for Scotland one day.

Tough Start For New Boss

COWDENBEATH_200207B.jpg

Cowdenbeath have been knocked out of two cup competitions in a week. This is not the start Frankie was hoping for but he hopes now to focus on the league and survival.

The Beath were really unlucky in this game, a great performance, but they didn't concentrate for the full game, and were thus punished. Good to see Hampshire get a goal on his debut

Again the 'Beath were beaten, this time comprehensively, Frankie would have like to have progressed in at least one of the cup competitions but this was not to be.
