Today we did not seem on our game, not like we have been so far. Munir scored an amazing goal which put us on the back foot but we just never came out the blocks. United were all over us. Moreno got us back in the game with his 8th goal of the season, a little header into the top corner. Monteleone put us ahead and it looked like we could go on to win the game, but Kyle Hogg came back to haunt us in Rooney style fashion, and went wheeling away towards our fans, it was hard to take, but I think the decision to sell him will be a good one overall, especially if we can get Ronaldo's work permit complete.

Who ever is keeping him out of the Brazilian side must be a god!

We travelled to Hull today off the back of two draws (I drew 2-2 with Dynamo Moscow in the second leg and forgot to post). Things hadn't been running so smoothly lately as we kept gifting the opposition goals from defensive errors, so I felt that it was time for the lads to step up in that aspect.

Of course for the fans they only had one real focus on this game, and that would be how new boy Ronaldo would line up. He has bags of ability so I threw him straight in the mixer and started him, and it was a brilliant decision as he scored a lovely goal within 5 minutes, welcome to the club son.

He set one up too, his flick on to Moreno set him one on one, and he doesn't miss many of them. Monteleone scored again off a corner, and it was fair to say he defended really well. Moreno finished the game off with his 10th goal of the season already, another powerful header. He scored all sorts of goals. Origi hasn't had a good couple of games now, and Toni Silva and Zaha will be knocking on the door for some more game time, so he has something to prove now.

Once I saw the group that we were in, I knew this was a must win game. Goodison is somewhere I want teams to come and be scared to play us. I went for the front three of Zaha - Moreno - Ronaldo today, as Origi has been out of form in recent weeks, and Toni Silva hasn't done much to show me why he deserves a place in the starting XI either, it worked today, but it took some time.

As the half time whistle went, you had that feeling that today may just be one of them games. We had reduced them to a single shot but our efforts were just not going over the line, no matter how close they were. At half time I told the lads just to nick a goal for us, and then then the 3 points are ours.

They come out a different team. One man who changed the game was our key to our success so far this season, Moreno. He scored 3 powerful goals to show his class, and then Ronaldo grabbed one, he only picked up his performance in the last 30 minutes. Okore and Coates were astonishing at the back, and I gave Coleman a game today, which he delivered. It was also Belhanda's first game under my management, and he controlled the midfield today, so he may get a chance up next against Burnley.

PSG beat Barca 3-0, which means for now we are top of the group, but we will have a lot of work to do if we want to qualify.

It was a disastrous day today for Tom Heaton as not only did he let in nine goals, he put two of them in his own net! We we're astonishing today from start to finish. We come out and ripped Burnley to part. Theres no guessing who man of the match goes to? Moreno again. 4 goals today. I keep thinking I will rest him but he always seem's to be fit. Origi got a goal too which will help for his confidence.

In midfield today we had a commanding performance from McCarthy, who really looks like he is trying to take his place back off Barker. Who has occupied the role during his European suspension. That game marks our third clean sheet in a row, and w have scored an amazing 17 goals in that period. We have Bristol City up next in the Capital One Cup, and if Moreno continues to be fit I'm going to keep playing him. He loves it.

A surprisingly narrow win today. We had a few of our main squad out and we dominated the game, but we just could not find the net. Ronaldo was the difference with a header at the backpost, but that was quite alarming. We haven't conceded a goal in 360 minutes of football though, and that;s nice to know!
