And he's only 21!

I rested Moreno today, and the first thought was that we may not score as many goals, we have Barcan midweek and I need him fit. I was deciding who to put upfront ahead of him, I opted for Ronaldo, and brought Zaha back in on the right and he was actually the goal machine. The strangest thing about the game today is we have played much better than that on a few occasions and not come out with a result half as good. We scored 10 goals in 26 shots, amazing.

I was made up for Toni Silva, he got his first goals for the club today. He's been someone I've quite liked since joining, he's always played well but been very poor in front of goal. It's nice to see him score.

My personal MOTM was Leighton Baines. He's 36 now but still managing to fly up the wing and deliver crosses just like he did ten years ago. He set up 3 goals today, and is giving me serious headaches whether to play him at the Nou Camp. I'm just not sure he could handle Messi and Neymar's pace.

To be fair, the answer to that question was yes. We have been quite solid at the back, and I'm getting more and more confident every day in our defence but Ochoa has made some outstanding saves that just confuse me. He's 36 but he has shown no signs of losing it at all, and I want to keep him here. I've offered him an extra year on his contract to what his previous one already has. He really has been solid this season, and he needs to know his worth.

Leighton Baines had asked me for a chat after training, I'm open to all my players coming to me with anything so of course I arranged a meeting with him.

JC: Leighton, how are things?

LB: Good boss, really good in fact, that's why I want to talk to you.

JC: Fire away mate

LB: I know I'm 36 and I am losing some of my pace, but my form has been so good recently and I don't want to miss the Barca game. I feel I've got something to offer.

JC: You're right, I still regard you as one of the best attacking full backs in the world, but what if they put Neymar and Messi on you? Can you handle it?

LB: Theres eleven players on the pitch, Messi and Neymar can take anyone apart one versus one, if you trust me, I want to play.

JC: Of course I trust you, as long as you pass fit with the medical staff you'll be playing, you deserve this chance above anyone else.

LB: Cheers boss.

And to be fair, he does deserve it. Baines has been here 15 years. He could have left for United a few times when times were hard, but he never. He's played out of his skin lately, so he will be getting a game.

We were beaten by the better side tonight, Neymar ran the show. To be fair we did put up a good fight. After going 1-0 down to a solo goal from Neymar, Ronaldo hit back and scored a pretty similar goal on the opposite side of the pitch.

We went in at half time and I told the lads they were doing great, and if they could just hold on this would be huge for us, and it looked like we were going on better. A powerful header rifled into the corner from a free kick, Okore was the scorer, I was in cloud 9. I'd been here before with Valencia and Liverpool, but we were such underdogs. Unfortunately we got hit on the counter, and Fitzgerald had to stretch to take the ball off Messi, and caught him in the box. He's scored from the spot to even things up.

The rest was just brilliance from Neymar, who I can only respect for how well he played. WE shown were not quite ready at this level, but were competitive.

Ochoa has signed and I am delighted. His form has shown that age sometimes is just a number, and I do think he has 3 years left in him. I do need to think about a replacement but right now he's doing a great job. I've just witnessed him save 3 one on ones vs Neymar, who is arguably the best player in the world right now.
