We're second in the league so far behind Liverpool, we have Swansea at home next so hopefully we can gain a bigger gap on them. We're still unbeaten too. Chelsea seem to be struggling at the moment, but they are capable enough to pick up the points.

Not a bad start to his life in the Premier League.

Moreno wins the goal of the week competition, and it was one of the best goals I'd seen in a while.

Today was a mixed day for me. The performance was very good but we were very lapse in defence. I suppose we won the game by 3 clear goals so I can't say too much. Ronaldo has really hit the ground running since being here and this was his first hat-trick. For a winger to have scored 9 goals in 7 games is amazing. Moreno scored another, he's already two goals away from twenty.

I've give Fitzgerald two games now, as he asked for them and he had a very good start to the season, but he's not lived up to much. I was silly to bring him into the Barca game, and he didn't do enough to earn himself a place today. He's only 20, he should know he won't start every game but equally I shouldn't have give in.

I'm liking the look of that table! A Merseyside battle for the title perhaps?

From Joseph Yobo to Ronaldo! Well done mate, and it would be funny if you had Liverpool last! :P

Today was a real tough game. Normally when we go one nil up the game is a walk in the park, but today Forshaw made sure that wasn't the case. I would say Wigan were on top once theyd equalised, but we continued to fight and counter and when Moreno scored it looked like we had secured the game. Charlie Barker messed the good feeling up with his stupid lunge on the 65th minute earning him an early bath.

This is where the game began to take my fingernails. We were hanging on, 5 minutes of **** from Wigan really seen me lose it, until Origi pulled out an amazing goal out the bag.

The game was then defended out with a 7 at the back tactic, we needed to make sure we stopped Wigan in the end.

Sometimes in football you think you have the game wrapped up, having played in Istanbul i guess I should know better. I'm sat there with a beaming smile on my face, 4-0 up against a PSG side who were on some serious form, and then I find the lead slipping, and slipping some more, until the point where I am on the edge of my seat screaming at the lads to defend. We somehow managed to pull it off, we have 3 more games to go, and the group is looking interesting.

I was that drunk last night I don't remember even writing them match reports, a good effort from a drunk guy if i do say so myself :P

Today was the big day. Liverpool at home. It's always been a tough game, but I do fancy our chances if we can get the fans behind us. This will be the first derby I've been to where I'm on the blue side in a long time.

Not only is the Merseyside derby a massive game anyway, and the extra pressure which is on with the situation, but it also will be the first time one of us could lose a game this season, and determine who goes/stays top.

"Get stuck in today lads, don't be scared of any of them. You know exactly how they play and we've been working hard this week on it. Bainsey you're taking the free kick today unless you choose otherwise. It's going to be tough out there, don't get yourself sent off. **** Markovic off early on, hit him hard but fair. He won't come near you all game if you take him out. Origi, go show them why they should have give you one game to play. You wanted to leave when I come in because they never give you a chance before hand, show them why. Come on lads!

The teams were announced, and after looking at their lineup I am slightly pleased, no Barbosa or Narvajas.

And we're off.

Looking at the formations I'd say 5-3 Everton (although Rulli might have other ideas..)
