We did it! After yet another goal conceded in the 90th minute to make a game 2-2 we managed to scrape through in extra time. I thought Patrick Roberts had won it in the 84th minute and I was delighted. My heart sunk when we conceded as we knew the game was going to be hard in extra time.

I told the lads to just give it their all, I had to take Wilson off as he was tired, Baba Rahman scored his second in this tie to put us in the lead which meant they needed 2 more goals. Roberts danced his way through their defence to make it 4-2 and we were all but through. We conceded again but it was too late for Brugge, we had made it to the semi finals, I was ecstatic!

I had also decided, Roberts was getting a new contract. What a player.

Koln managed to beat Chelsea too so it was a semi Final against them. We really have ourselves a big opportunity now to reach the final against either Basel or Barcelona. I think we know who will probably win that one.

Ha, just as I wished good luck, you won the game. ;)

Patrick Roberts is really a top player. Glad to see he is banging in the goals for you as well.

Great stuff and congrats on a truly epic story. I'm now thinking about Roberts for my Everton story

This is by far the craziest game I have ever managed in my career. We came to the Emirates in hope to get a draw, but it wasn't really an expectation as Arsenal are a great side at the moment. 34 minutes in we find ourselves 3-0 up, and we are in dreamland. Szcesny is having a nightmare and should be doing much better, but we aren't complaining. Wilson bagged 2 and Sturridge got our third.

Aboubakar Diallo pulled one back for Arsenal in the 39th minute but didn't get a minute to celebrate himself as Sturridge made it 4-1. I didn't think it was possible for us to throw this away now, we'd knocked the stuffing out of Arsenal, but Diallo had other ideas as he pulled two back before half time and completed his hat-trick, he is some player.

Ramsey and Diallo scored 3 more goals in the second half to turn the game in Arsenals favour and I was gutted, but still proud of the lads for the performance. I then brought Miyachi on as he said he wanted a chance to play against Arsenal, so why not give it him. He was amazing and instantly hit us back into the game. 6-5.

Diallo bagged his fifth goal of the game and that was that, seemingly. Miyachi scored his second 7 minutes from time to give us some hope but unfortunately that was that.

I shook Diallo's hand after the game, he told me he was a huge fan, wow. After the game I did a bit of research on him, I knew he was scoring in the league but I didn't realise how much.

42 goals in 39 games is out of this world. He really was a real talent. It's a shame I'm not at a club who can challenge for his signature, but hopefully one day I can bring him here, but if his form carries on like this he will be off the one of the worlds biggest clubs, to be fair Arsenal are up there.

Read this thread from page 1-169 for 5 hours straight!!! What a twist. Good job mate and can't wait for the next update. Don't ever lose hope of world domination with the blackcats!! Cheers

Thanks bud, yeah I'd go for him! I haven't had a chance to develop him but I'm sure if you did you would be able to make him even better, liking your story too mate!

This is the win we needed. It's been a tough few months for the club in the league which seen us without a win in 2 months but that is no more. We come out today looking to dominate and our confidence was high from the way we performed at the Emirates. The first half was a good one but we lacked creation in the final third, I began to worry that this could be another one of those games.

I told the lads at half time to do everything they could to get a goal, if we didn't win today we could begin to slide down the table. Quarter of an hour after the interval we finally broke the deadlock, Roberts got on the end of a Loftus-Cheek pass and bent the ball around Stojanovic to put us in the lead.

Palace cam knocking on the door but with some good saves from Pantimilon meant we were still in the lead by the skin of our teeth. Wickham scored his first goal under me to wrap off the game, and it was time for the lads to celebrate. We were not 7 points clear of the relegation zone and I think that will do. I wanted them to go out and have a drink, but we have Koln on Thursday in the semi final of the Europa League, and we're looking to make history at this club.

Roberts' form is really something at the moment. He is scoring goals in big games and seems to be running through defenders easily. He's just signed new 4 year deal worth 83k a week making him our highest paid player. He deserves it though, but he does have a £22 million release clause for teams in the champions league, he felt he needed this and it is fair. I wouldn't want to lose him, but you can never stall someone from their potential.

We are pretty much through to the final after a huge 6-1 win today. The lads were amazing and deserved the result, I'm over the moon. It's a shame Basel had a meltdown in the last 4 minutes against Barcelona as they would have been favourites to meet us in the final and I don't fancy our chances against Barcelona much. I lost to them earlier this season with Everton, hey are unplayable at times. Let's see what the second leg brings.

It's a shame, I really wanted this post and never had a chance due to my reputation being torn at the moment. Maybe in the future if my name get's cleared, but this is all getting pathetic now.

Carragher Statement
View attachment 245761Carragher comes clean on Fitzgerald situation.

I would like to start by again apologising to Brendan Fitzgerald on what had happened at my time at Everton. This is the first time that I have spoke to the media about what happened that day, and I feel now is the time for me to do so. I'd been managing Everton for 3 months and we were really in some form, the dressing room was a great place but one person I couldn't seem to motivate was Brendan. I had tried different techniques and I thought that he just was not interested. I had asked Leighton Baines to speak to him and ask him if there were any problems in his personal life, as captain he did. Brendan had said everything was fine.

We had a training session and he hadn't shown up again. He abruptly told Martin Skrtel on the phone that he was not coming in today but gave no reason, so I went to the house. I had no idea his mother was ill and if I had known I would have given him a leave of absence.

This part of the statement is where everyone has got it wrong. I mentioned before I went that I would be putting Brendan Fitzgerland on the transfer list. This was through a cross between bad performances and what I thought at the time was bad behaviour. I know now there was a expectational reason for his behaviour. A reason I would have been there for him as he was my player. Unfortunately I never knew.

After I had comforted Brendan I organised a team meeting to tell them the news, and ensure we were all there for one of our players, our friends. I got a call from his agent after that meeting. He was screaming at me as I had put him on the transfer list. I never did that. Martin Skrtel had told the board I had give him permission to while I was with Brendan, and the board accepted.

The board have since turned against me, and it seem's like they have their story with Martin which keeps them both out of the bad news.

Again, I would like to apologise to Brendan Fitzgerald, but I would also like the public to know that I am not the person I am being portray to be in the media.

**** at Old Trafford today. I hate this football club more than any. If you have ever played or managed Liverpool Football Club you will understand the hatred between these two clubs better than any, and today made me sick.

Kyle Hogg scored a hat-trick and decided it was best to celebrate this right in my face. I sold him to United during my time at Everton, he thinks it's because I didn't rate him, which isn't the case. Kyle is a brilliant footballer but I preferred Moreno, and I didn't want to ruin his career on the bench, if anything I've helped his career.

5-0 at Old Trafford was awful, but I was pleased for Wilson who got a consolation goal against his old team, taking his tally for the season to 26.

It's been a bad weekend.
