So at the end of the season we managed to climb into 13th place, which is huge considering we we're battling relegation. It's even nicer to see that Fulham have gone down in our expense. Sheffield Wednesday were shockingly bad too. Man Utd won the league on the last game of the season, which was heartbreaking to find out.​

Hah that wasn't supposed to look sarcastic! Was a general message to everyone :P I was on my phone so replying was harder!!

I felt blessed that we had even got to the final. The thought of playing Barcelona was killing me inside though. I know how good they are just as much as anyone else does, could Sunderland stop Messi and Neymar? It all just seemed impossible.

This was probably the weakest Barcelona side in recent years. Ter Stegen is a brilliant goalkeeper but the back four infront of him are less than convincing. I'm also not convinced by Daley Blind in centre midfield so I will be looking at targeting him. The attack is overpowering so hopefully we can stop them.

As for our lineup I feel like this is our strongest. All of our forwards can score. The midfield is solid but like Barca im not convinced on the back four against them. It's an area I'm looking to improve this summer.

The stage was set. The teams were out, and the nerves were beginning to kick in.

4 mins: Loftus Cheek disposseses Samper. He charges past Blind towards the box. Nkoulou makes the tackle but it's only as far as Stefanik, OHH WHAT A GOAL. DREAM START FOR SUNDERLAND. 1-0.

14 mins: It's been all Sunderland since the goal and Loftus Cheek is again carrying the ball forward, he's controlling the game here. He's gone for goal. ITS IN, ITS IN! LOFTUS CHEEK DOUBLES SUNDERLANDS LEAD AND SENDS THE STADIUM ROCKING.

22 mins: Messi dispossess Hector, he takes it around Walker, now Sunderland are in danger here. Good save from Pantimilon, NILSSON! 2-1 to Barcelona, and you could see it coming.

45 mins: It's been a good half for Sunderland, but you can't help but feel Barca are on top. Sunderland have really struggled since Nilsson's goal.

58 mins: Neymar is past Hector, and he's pulled him down. Penalty! Messi Steps up, he doesn't miss these. 2-2. Sunderland are in trouble now.

90 mins: We're going to extra time. Can Sunderland pull off a miracle or will Barcelona continue to dominate the game?
