Hopefully this will be the The Simpsons of Football Manager Stories. As in in 70 years time, when you're old and grey this story is still going on.

We lost out on the Super Cup to Real Madrid. We dominated the game but didn't have the class they did to put away their chances. Sebastian Coates is the latest Liverpool reject to join the Galacticos. They have already had Lovren and Wisdom. We proved today that we are ready to challenge with the best. I'm looking forward to our new season even more now, it's finally here!​

These are the expectations by the board for the season, I feel they are fair. The Champions
League may be tougher than we think depending on the draw. I'd like to add another trophy
and get a top four finish but that is a big ask.​

We we're completely turned over by United today. I was on cloud 9 at half time as we went into the game 1-0 up, Patrick Roberts with a stunning volley in the box. I'd made some mistakes tactically today. Loftus-Cheek wasn't having the best of games so I took him off for Jose Alberto. I'm the first to admit it wasn't the right game to play your first English football match. The game went downhill from there.

Stefan Markovic also made his debut today. He was a free agent I'd signed, he came on for Dybala. Again a stupid decision. Hogg continued his amazing form and scored 2 a long with Munir. United are looking extremely strong this season already, they could win it again.​

I'd imagine it was the longest, will have another look later, I remember someone had a pretty long one but I don't know if it was this long!
 
Unlucky against Madrid mate!

Haven't had a chance to fully read through this story yet, but that Sunderland side has come along way from the likes of Cattermole and Wes Brown!

I know, They kill me! Hogg seems to score every game he plays!
 
A really good transfer window mate. Invested the money from Wilson and Rahman well in Depay and Calhanoglu!

Yeah I feel that I have, so far Depay's first two games he has been woeful, so hoping he picks up.

That was Lazar Markovic.

This is Stefan Markovic, he's a regen with some strong attributes but not sure if he can cut it in the league, shouldn't really have played him against United :P

Will get a SS later
 
followed this from the start but only just commented but have to say this story deserves all the praise it gets :) top stuff!
