It's funny I noticed while looking at the league table that had you not had the 25 point deduction you would be 4th.

Just read through it all, A very humorous read ... remind's me of mike basset england manager :D keep it going

MATCHES Update 36-40

Crawley Vs Chester 2-1 win :D

Wood and Chester wanted to put the debacle of the Barrow cup game firmly behind them today at Crawley who were going well in the top half.Wood had been heavily criticised by media and fans but defended himself saying"people make out im some sort of irresponsible moron, but i am very responsible, the players know they can have no more than 5 pints before a match and i keep to those rules strictly. On the pitch Wood answered his critics in the best way as his side beat crawly 2-1.Gifted AM Ben Wilkinson opened the scoring on 27 with another lovely goal.Charles Ademeno quickly levelled just 3 mins later.Chester won it though in the 75th min with a Blundel pen after 75mins.

Chester Vs Salisbury 2-1 win :D

This was a must win game for Chester today against fellow strugglers Salisbury.Wood was in boyant mood and signed autographs for fans pre kick off until they realised who he was.In a boring first half it was clear Salisbury had come to park the bus,Chester huffed and puffed but couldnt break into Salisburys stiff rear guard.Wood rallied at half time and told his side to relax,it worked,on 49 mins Nick Chadwick burried the opener in.Chester continued to attack and on 71 mins Anthony Barry curled in Chesters 2nd. Matt Tubbs managed a consolation for Salisbury on 89mins but it was too late.

Mansfield Vs Chester 3-1 loss :@

A day to forget for John Wood and Chester at Feild Mill today. Chester looked totally off the pace from kick off.Clark Keltie opened the scoring for The Stags from the spot after a dubious fall in the box.Wood was less than impressed as he made diving gestures to the 4th official Michael Knight.Daryl Clare added to woods misery on 32mins with a neat goal.Shaun Kelly gave Chester fans hope on 42 mins but Luke Jones put the game beyond doubt on 67mins.

Chester Vs Grays 5-0 win :O

Todays Match was played on a Quagmire (giggidy giggidy) of a pitch after John Wood had allowed a car boot sale to be held on the Deva stadium pitch the day before the match.Chester groundsman Mike Hunt was furious saying "i might as well go home, there are only 5 blades of grass and they are on the touchline.Wood defended the idea saying"Its good income for the club.I even managed to pick up The A team season 1 on video for 3 quid,a bargain. Now we need another boot sale and hopefully ill find a Beta Max video player to play them on" On the pitch Grays struggled big time in the mud. Blundell scored the opening two on 10 and 24 with headers.Nick Chadwick added a 3rd on 34mins then Cameron Mawer scored a OG.Ben Wilkinson added the fifth and final goal on 60 mins with a free kick. Grays manager Julian Dicks was furious after the game and refused to shake Woods hand.

Chester Vs Ebbsfleet 1-0 win :)

Today's game was more like mud wrestling than football.A very bad tempered game which saw 2 player sent off. Lance Cronin scored the only goal of the game on 16mins but unfortunately for him and Ebbsfleet it was an Own goal as he headed in a Chester corner. An awful game and bad advert for football.Chester are going well though and amazingly moving away from the relegation zone.
