Kallemannen & ChristianEriksen - Ultimate 4231

CE, I previously used your 4231 in your another thread and it uses inside forward and wingers. Is it okay if i used those player as the Attacking Midfielder in this tactic or it is preferred that i've a natural Attacking Midfielder?

It depends on their stats
A lot of wide attacking midfielders can play in the middle great too
Hazard being the best example

Eriksen will make player filters, but you can also look how well he will perform the AMC role
But for sure, a winger would do great on LCAM/RCAM

Alright, thanks !! I'll highlight its attributes on the LCAM/RCAM role and see if he is well-suited for that job. Cheers for the quick reply.

There is more info to come as well :)
There is a form with wide wingers avaliable as well, and a counter tactic with wide players

The wingers can work even if they are yellow in amc?

Yes, dont pay too much attention to that ;)
The only important thing are the stats, go to your play and highlight his stats for the role he is going to play

But if you want to use the narrow, it will take some time to fill your team with AMCs
There will be a wide tactic included in the first post (christian edits) for this purpose (most people dont have a lot of CAM to start with)

I've observe this for quite a while and i realized the IF is contribution alot not just from goals but assists too. But one thing that i would like to clarify is that... if i had 2 amazing IF, is it better that i put both of the wide played on IF or it will be better to left them as they are? And if i had a played who's very good on off the ball movement (eg. Muller), can i change the role of Attacking Mid (Right) to a Raumdeuter?

IF and raumdeuter is not a possible role for central AMC, if thats what you mean?
for LCAM,RCAM the only possible roles are: AP,AM, treq, engance, shadowstriker

I only had sucess with AM and AP making this tactic

Or are you talking about the wide tactic?
Well then, It can for sure work with 2 IF
But I think you pull the opponents wide better with a winger and a IF, and create space

But feel free to try

Finally someone posted this tactic! the best 1 I tried so far in fm 15, it was posted 2 months ago on si games forums

How did it work in 15.3? People told me it was still very good
Therefor we havent worked on a new 4-2-3-1 wide tactic yet!

You mean the WIDE 4231 from Kallemannen? The Narrow one is a collab and a new one!

Only played 1 friendly but liking the look of this, especially the two Regista's. I've been trying (and failing miserably) to create a 4-2-3-1 tactic set.

The idea was...

Version 1: Overload-GegenPress-4231wide

Version 2: Counter-4231DM's

Version 3: Defend/Control-Possession-4231narrow

Would be ace if some experts such as yourselves would create a working set of 3 tactics like this...

I've just bought Pogba for 60 Million+Fellaini !!! Which role shld i play him if i used the 4231 wide? RGA or DM?

Right now the versions im going to use is:

1. Press (narrow 4-2-3-1)
2. Drop (narrow 4-2-3-1)
3. Counter (Wide 4-2-3-1)

All tactics from this thread :)

Can someone please explain when to use press version and when to use drop version? For example, let's say you are playing as Everton/Southampton and you are playing against likes of Chelsea, Man City or Man United. What version is the best? Is the press version most suitable? Because sometimes teams like these do use long balls or direct play. And sometimes in the scouting report, you cannot see what type of "passes" the team is using because there is an - at the description.

I'm sorry if if being dumb but I can't understand it.

I have seen enough. Guess the team.

my 2 deep mids are pogba and romero, would you agree that pogba should be RGV and romero as DM? with d.blind as backup for both?

Ok I'm going to embrace these 3 tactics with my recently started Real Madrid save.

I've had a dream of a first transfer window, here's my 1st team squad.

Gk: Casillas - Navas
DR: Carvajal - Arbeloa
DL: Rodriguez - Coentraeo
DC: Ramos - Varane
DC: Pepe - Nacho
DM: Kroos - Romero
DM: Modric - Gil Romero
AMC: James - Isco
AMR: Bale - Munir
AML: C.Ronaldo - Depay
SC: Benzema - Jese

When playing narrow would you play C.Ronaldo DLF or AM(A)?
