Kallemannen & ChristianEriksen - Ultimate 4231

If you don't like a tactic stop posting stupid comments. Don't like it-fair enough, but I've been looking at your past comments on other threads.

Stop it now.

Back OT now please.

Hi,

I am gonna give these tactics a try! Could you please advise me on when the counter tactic would come into effect? I was having a good read on the OP and it pretty much says play the press tactic and only drop deeper if the opposition is playing long balls or direct passing so I am trying to figure out how/when does the 'wide' tactic come into play...

I appreciate your feedback.

I think Eriksen didnt have time to post the counter and info in the first post so I link it here
Personally I use it whenever the opponents moves forwards, chasing a goal.

Im not entierley sure its your best option when starting out a game, even when you are underdog.
Sitting back for too long is not good either.

Here is the counter and its for the wide form!
If you are using narrow, use this still in your 3rd slot as counter option
I dont think it will be easy to make a counter with the narrow one :)

Thanks for the swift reply kallemannen!

That kinda clears it up for me now, I will use the first 2 tactics as my main tactics starting a game then I will probably adopt the counter tactic late on in matches when the opposition is pushing for a goal!

I look forward to using them :D

Actually I think my V.9 is the best so far
Its absolute DOPE

Had some insane results with West brom, but then lost a few tight games so kept on improving, but v.9 might be the best so far

The potential for domination is sick 2 straight games with dortmund, around 35-2 in shots, 8-0 halfchances/ccs

Are you posting it?

v9 ? what v9 ?

Its just "my" v.9 :D version 9 of what I did with Eriksen
We sent tactics back and forth and so. Its a tactic version both him and I worked on, but not the final tactic.

Against wide formation (atleast 4 natural players on the wings) it can be insane!

I will upload

Btw, try to never use narrow formation against central formations
It works well against 4-3-1-2 though, but use the wide one against central forms, especially Liverpool! they will kill you if you use the narrow

ive just gone toe to toe with liverpool with the narrow, drew 1-1 so not all bad ;)

Yeah but the narrow needs space in the middle.
The most extreme example being the 4-4-2. No DM, 2 strikers, 4 people on the wings.
Playing a 4-4-2 with this narrow is like being a kid at christmas.

Liverpool have like 6 central midfielders/defenders in their form and then its better with the wide one!
especially since they use markovic/ibe on the right, they cant handle my Reus... hehe ;)

well i dont have a Reus :( i could do with one! struggling to get goals and keep clean sheets

Oh dear, i am so looking forward to giving this a go. My teams been lacking a reliable tactic since the legendary V19 by Christian

Had to tweak the midfield a bit, for some reason Toure jsut wasnt cutting it as a Reg. (6.3) but 2nd half, i got him playing...

Game One in preseason with the wide version..

only a brief testing with the narrow 4-2-3-1, but results have been very promising (6 games, 6 wins in my A-league save with Wellington; plugged in mid-season though tactic was already accomplished as was similar to the one I was using), here's my feedback:

+ surprisingly solid defence, opponents have a very limited number of chance (of course they tend to finish all of them, but still not conceding many goals)
+ very good ball possession
+ DR/L, AMCR/L and ST perform very well for me, with the striker scoring a lot, and the others assisting many goals.
+ press/drop strategy also working well

- central AMC doesn't seem to have great impact on the team, and often plays deeper than DM's... maybe it's meant to be this way but was hoping for a more creative role for all the AMC's ;)
- the double regista sometimes leaves the team without needed cover in DM strata, and occasionally they might 'steal' space to each other an to the central AMC when attacking

Overall seems a very efficient tactic. Maybe using the same DM setup as the wide tactic (1 DM on defensive duty and 1 RGA) could make it even more balanced? not sure though!

thanks for a very interesting tactic!
