Just a brief summary of some awesome teamtalk introduced back in FM2010 (i forgot the name of the author sorry :( )

Basically, You start off with "For the Fans" half the time, unless you are really really hot favourites then use "You can Win this Game"

At half-time, see the motivation of each players. Those who are motivated and more give them "None", others generally give "You have faith".

By the 60th min, see if any players are still not motivated and just sub them off (according to preferences though)

Full time - Delighted for those with 8.0 and above, the rest "Well Done" will do.

For more detailed report search for the team talk at fm10 forum. Its guaranteed to come up because its probably the most viewed thread back then :P

No problem Koflok, some feedback is the least we can do!

More attacking full backs were definitely on my mind, and the hug-touchline instruction sounds interesting, will try that soon.

And of course I'd be pleased to have a première of your new update!

Too bad at the end of the season I had to release a couple of good players due to new unexpected salary cap restrictions (regarding international player slots - oh don't even ask - I LOVE this MLS!), but I kept my defence, my wingers and of course my super striker, so I'm still confident!

Tons of other 4-4-2 diamond tactics are already out there dude -.- this tactic is far from complete with several tweakings to be made. Why not you try out ParkthePlane or TheBetterHalf's Plug and Shout tactics.

Have you tried to play standard instead of attacking on away games?

If still fails, I will hopefully find something soon to fix that

Sure I'll send you the links after some things are done.

I love attacking full backs. Been using them since 08.
But since I distributed tactics, there's this demand to have a better defense and stuff so it's almost impossible to leave 2 man behind while the 2 wingbacks bombing forwards and expect 'good' defense.

The hug touchline thing might work. Maybe I should just don't give much **** about defense and just go with my guts and setup some awesome attacking fullbacks tweaks.

Actually Gabe, I will be making 4-4-2 diamond tactic. Continuing the 'original' Goals Galore series which have always been 4-4-2 diamond. That is, of course, if I'm done with this tactic.

It's wide diamond though not those DMC-MC MC-AMC ones. I hate those.

o.O sounds interesting. Not many natural players at MR/ML position by now, many have converted to natural AML/AMR. Would be interesting to try out such formations

Yes it won't be easy. But in a way they will be operating as an AMLR during attack due to forward run settings.

So it's like having a 4-1-3-2 formation during attack and a 4-3-1-2 formation during defense.

Something that has always been great from previous FMs.
 
It works great for my Real Madrid save (I know Real is easy, but still)

My full back tend to make a mistake here.

Leaving his position and run to the opponent's winger then their striker run into that space. Cross and score.

So I reduce "Closing down" by two notch. Showing some promise here :)

But May be just because I have some poor full backs though.

I forgot te current version settings but on the 'new' one full backs' closing down is at the middle. So he won't go to far to close down player but not to little that wingers can have a clear crossing chance.

Can you give a screenshot of the current settings of you fullback?

Considering you are Madrid, the defense is awesome. I think Madrid can score 3 goals/game though :D

I'm still playing around with your recomendations. As said it's not that much of difference with the one I'm currently working on.

Is narrow at far end is the best though?

It's giving me mixed results so far. with some games many CCC and some just could not attack.
One thing I notice is my striker stop performing like usual - which is not good.
and I don't know what's wrong.

This is depressing. :S

I'm pretty sure narrow at far end is best, not 100% tho, also depends on the team I guess.

Hey try the wingers as advanced playmakers attack. That way they have the same distance with the strikers as if the philosophy is balanced. That's what I'm finding at least

Made some little changes again, instead of playing narrow (just found out that Bernabeu has normal size pitch) I changed it to smallest normal. Also I play balanced with advanced attacking playmakers as wingers.
Seems to do well, only 1 match though, will report back later again.

Sorry what I meant was if the philosophy is very rigid than the wingers are advance playmaker forward but if it's balanced than it's inside forward on support.

But it's interesting to see that result though. Does your winger seems to play better playing a little 'deeper' from that position?

tstemdju : cheers thanks for the screenshot. Yeah the current version I'm working on have similar settings. It's only less 2 sliders or so though. So far it's working better too. Less goals from crossing.

Okay I'm kinda stuck due to all the experimenting with all kinds of tweakings and such. Massive headache since I haven't been sleeping at all since yesterday.

Gonna hit the bunk early now and get a fresh start tomorrow

Just post your findings if you seem to find a good combination. Might be better to test it to a weaker side later though :P

Wow, I just had to share this result
This was with first version of the tactic with some slight tweaks for my team.
I gave everyone a lot more freedom, changed the philosophy to very fluid and allowed more roaming. Also changed to man-marking and the starting strategy to control, change to drill crosses and upped the defense line to normal. Probably some more changes, because I've been trying to perfect the tactic for my team the last half of the previous season.
