Hi Koflok,

Love the tactic.

Have been using this tactile with Newcastle. I have used the tactic from the OP (not the beta).

I am currently 5th (which is good) but I do stuggle a lot against teams like Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea. I never look like scoring or keeping a clean sheet.

As I am using the 'old' version of the tactic do you recommend me trying the beta?

Cheers.

Well first of all thanks for trying it out and glad that its being working rather well I guesss.
Well it is expected that you won't really have a big chance against them really but I do hope the tactic in the future can help somehow :D

Sure you can try it out. For some the BETA was certainly an improvement, despite some tweaks I forgot to put in.
Based on the inputs I've managed to tweak some more on the BETA. Maybe you can apply it yourself

1. Increase closing down of back 5 by 3-4 notches
2. Put on offside trap
3. RFD for MCL at rare
4. Tackling of DR and DL to easy

these two are not yet fixed, but you may try the different settings
5. RWB to MCR at mixed (or rarely)
6. Make wingers RWB often (or stay at mixed).

I will probably uplaoad the 2nd BETA with these tweaks. Today

Are there anyother clues than those in thefirst post? For example Opossition instruction ?

So far I'm not using any Opposition Instruction.

I think non-tactic wise, there are 3 things you must keep up
1. Motivating your player. I did talk about it a little on first post
2. Keeping fitness level. Substituting the right time and rotating players
3. Ensure team blends. Don't over purchase players as it will cause them to not work well. Needs long time to make players gel with eachother

Other than that just do simple tweakings when you feel necesary. And you should be golden.

Hey koflok mate!
I 've been using your beta 1 tactic with much success lately ( won 2-1 valencia with Panathinaikos )
But I always wanted to ask you 1 particular question ...
Well I have bought 2 strikers , yaya sanogo and kadlec , both suited for poacher role .
Your default striker role though is for "advance forward"..
So should I change the tactic role from AF to poacher ?
Or should I just put my strikers (that play best as poacher ) to play as Advanced forwards ?
Also concerning your answer to that ..does training schedule play any role for a player to gel with his position in this tactic ?I mean i have to put sanogo and cadlec to poacher schedule even if I play them as advanced forwards? Or both their role in tactic and training schedule MUST be same ?

koflok, is the BETA 2 for 12.0.4 patch?

Yes. the ME is essentially haven't been changed.
So it's working just as good.

I don't think there is 'poacher' training or something like that. I always thought it was divided up to forwards, midfields and defenders.
I'm not sure but since I'm never bothered with the training I don't think it would affect the tactic play whatsoever.

Well first of all, roles are really just different player settings. So even if the role is Advanced Forward but if the settings is made to that of poacher's, the player will play just as good.
I actually had tweak all the player settings - well most of the settings - so really even if the role is 'advanced forward' it doesn't necesarilly 100% like average advanced forwards. It has been setup to play under the system of my tactic.
So you don't really have to follow the 'recommended' role. Just play as it is. You can, however, play around with some settings if you know what you're doing.

Some have been, for example, changing Run With Ball of wingers from sometimes to often and get better result. Others doesn't.
Or if you see that your striker has been misplacing too many through balls and just wasting plays, you can make the try through ball to sometimes instead of often. It all depends on your team.

Hey Koflok (and everybody else since I'm new here :))

First of all, your tactic is working wonders. I'm Ajax, in my first season and only bought a CDM and a good ST. Im currently second in the league (lost one game due to two own goals), conceaded only 6 goals in 14 matches. I won the away game against Man U in the champions league and battered Partizan with 5-0 away.

All in all, it's solid and when the striker is on form they are banging the goals in for fun.

My question is if there is a changelog for the newer versions compared to the first one. Im using the first one and it seems to work perfectly but I would like to know what's new in the BETA 2 compared to the first tactic you made.

Another question is about the training schedule. Is it wise to use the ones Raikan has made or do you have some other suggestion?

(Ps. got a tip for an absolute goalscorer as my ST keeps missing to much chances? I get about 14 clear cut chances per game but they only make 2 or 3 of those chances. I even trained them on inside foot scoring).

Thx in advance and double thx for this great tactic!

Oh yeah I forgot to put the changelog.
I kinda forgot spesifically but here's a rough one. I forgot where I saved it

0 to BETA 2
Team:
*Push up D-Line
*Offside trap : on
*Improved corners and free kicks : setting far post for DCR to head, put corner taker on 'Forward' duty.
*Better defense against set pieces
*Throw in tweaked

Goalkeeper:
*Defender distribution

Defenders + DMC
*Shorter passing style
*Higher pressing

Fullbacks
*Run From Deep : Often
*Run With Ball : Mixed
*Tackling : Easy
*Tight marking : On

Midfielders
*Higher pressing

Wingers
*More direct passing
(You can try to RWB Often as well)

Striker
*none
(You can try TTB to sometimes if you want)

Basically I don't really want to mess with the front 3 since it's been working well.
I'm still trying with some midfielders setting, but the MCL-MCR combinations seems nice.
MCL acts more of a quarterback, giving through balls from deep meanwhile MCR goes to edge of box to slide in a through pass.

FUllbacks now are running forward acting as an extra men and providing options on attack.

I don't really have any tip on striker not being able to convert goals. They should be able to finish easily on 'straight' one on one if they place shot. Hulk with his powerful shooting seems to do well too though when he got a diagonal change.

I think it's more of the striker's own ability which includes composure and finishing itself.

And oh yeah thanks for trying it out the tactic. Do try if you want to test out the new tactic.
You can always reverse the things you don't think is working.
Do report back here if you got the chance :D

Cheers.

Thanks there for the changelog :) Will try it now and get back to you later. The part of the backs seems interesting, especially the defending part.

As a striker I bought Sidney Sam, he should be able to get them goals shouldnt you think? Theo Jansen as the MCR (cause he's slow as ****) and Eriksen on the MCL. Wingers are Boerrigter, Sulejmani and Serrero as backup. Backup striker is Sightorsson and the backup for one of the MC's is Siem de Jong. Don't know if you know them players but I would appreciate if you could take a look at them for me and tell me if I should swap anything around or need a new player on a position or two.

Get back to you when I played some games with the BETA 2 tactic!

how do i train players to stop moves like shoots from distance and the other things you tell us to stop? I cant find it.

Interact with a player -> prefered training move -> and then look for the right one, i think it's finishing :)

Very good tactic ! In my first season with Marseille i lost only 3 or 4 times and in Champion's league i beat bigger teams so very nice. But at the beginning of the second season i will turn it to a 4-2-4. How i can manage this ? And if you know the team, i would find a substitute to Lucho Gonzales, a Left back (think of Gabriel Silva), a Stopper (think of Diego Godin) and a very good striker as Rémy.
Thanks

For CB's have a look at Toby Alderweireld or Jan Vertonghen from Ajax. Also Boilesen from Ajax seems a hot prospect :)

Concedes way too many for my team villa, getting completely outplayed at home by the likes of west brom and blackburn. Back to my own boring tactic i think.

how are you reacting when your player is sent off? (which you always have to take into account when using hard tackling).

Thanks.

I don't recommend and have the knowledge rght now if you're asking to change the tactic to 4-2-4.
It's not as simple as you think. Changing the formation means changing the mechanism of the tactic which means what's working now might not work in 4-2-4.

For budget targets, striker you can try Christian Benitez. or Jermaine Beckford
DL Aly Cissokho, Djamel Mesbah or Lucas Mareque

I usually proactive and substitute players who are likely to get red card before they actually get it. Usually one of those between 3 midfield.

However if the player do get red carded, depends on the situation.
But usually MCL would be my first target to be substituted.

What I always do is to sacrifice my CDM and put him in the position of the sent off player. This way I still create chances and my defence stays solid.

I've tested BETA 2 and love it so far. Started a new season, again with Ajax. Struggeling a bit at the moment but still on top of the league. Didn't manage to qualify myself for the next stage in the Champions League but I finished third (behind Chelsea and Lyon) so I still advance in the UEFA Cup.

Still haven't found that (not so expensive) striker who scores for fun. Managed to pick up Leandro and I use him on the wings. Also bought the Belgium striker Vossen (who has finishing at 17 and composure as well) but doesn't seem to do the trick.

You know where I can find the playing style of an attacker? Like poacher, etc? Maybe that could help me out...

after trying it with juventus i tried it with lille and still the same rubish..hardly any goals no possesion and always under less shots than the oppenents...how can you call this goals galore mate? it more like no goals at all...

Cheers thanks glad it's working out well for ya.

Try Christian Benitez. or Jermain Beckford. Those two are cheap options.
You basically need player who have at least 15 pace/accel, decent flair, good finish and dribbling (like 14 minimum) and good balance.

Oh yeah instead of just using it you can try different settings for the tactic
Right now I'm changing RWB wingers to often, RFD wingers to mixed, RFD MCL to mixed.
Seems to be working quite well

rubbish? yes that's why people don't download it.
lol stop using it. no one forces you to use this tactic if it doesn't work for you.
and seriously what kind of constructive feedback is that? i actually don't give a **** on comment like yours.
doubt you even actually use the tactic right, or even try at all. you're just trolling.

you're now on my ignore list.
now if you're just gonna keep trolling i'm gonna report to the mods.
