hello , i tried ur tactic with some v good results i can say
.. but i got a question .. do u change anything vs better teams than urs ? and if u are wining , vs a better team , do u change ur tactic to def or counter ? or u never change it ?
So far no. I just keep attacking on default.
But as soon as you're winning. You can change to lower mentality.
Change attacking to control/standard/ or even defensive. And change the role of fullback from attacking to defend.
Also subs your player. Maybe a more defend minded
I started a new game with Wolves. I brought in Wes Hoolahan, James McCarthy, Darron Gibson & Richard Dunne, whilst getting rid of a load of players whom I didn't think I needed. I also got Thiago and Jonathan Dos Santos on loan from Barcelona.
I just won my first game at home against Man City 4-2.
I'll let you know how it goes.
Good stuff! Wolves won against City 4-2. Nice
Wouldn't mind some pictures as well ;P
Well i hope it works well for ya in the next matches as well.
I noticed in some of the friendlies that I conceded a lot of the same goals:
a) a player running in on goal from just after the halfway line
b) from corners.
I'll see how it goes in the league.
Motivation seems to be a huge factor.
Yes since the tactic is using push up once the opposition breaks the offside trap you need speedy defender to catch him up.
Otherwise he will be free on goal. You can make the d-line deeper of you want, but it would make the attacking and pressing less effective.
ANd yes I've been trying to work with the corners, but doesn't seem to crack it so much right now.
Hopefully something in the future.
Although in BETA2, I've been using a defensive corner setup from a user here. It does seem better compared to it used to be.
Agree! Motivation is key!
Is it just me thats conceded tonnes of goals with this formation? Home and away with villa it seems to concede atleast 2 or 3 goals a game and ive conceded in 90+ atleast 6 times and im only half way through the season.
Actually if you have the right players you shouldn't. I've been testing a lot and the players seems to be able to win balls high up the pitch so that opponents don't get to our area.
I would've assume you are conceded because opponent's break the offside trap. In that case you would need one speedy defender to cover for it. And having central defenders with good teamwork rate would help as well so that the offside trap is more organized and effective.
And if you are conceded in 80-90+ minutes, it mainly indicates that your player is tired.
You might want to consider substituting your tired player in 60 minute mark.
As well as changing the mentality of tactic to something bit more defensive than attacking so that you can contain when the opponent is going overload on you on the final minutes.
Hope this helps
