Why offensive players (AML, AMR, CS) have passing style set into "direct" and midfielders into "mixed" - not into short? What would the play looks like with short passing for whole team?
So that they would play more penetrating forward balls rather than passing it back to the midfield.
That's just... boring. IRL it would be nice if you got creative players like Barca, but the match engine is not as good as that.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS TACTIC! It's great enough that I love watching inside forwards at their best, cutting in to either assist another player scoring or having an excellent crack at goal themselves, but the way you've set this tactic out has worked marvels for me, Koflok! Hats off to you.
I honestly think that not only do you need your front three beasts to be, well, as beastly as possible in order for the 4 or 5 goal scorelines to be attained, but I think the next most important player after them is your DMC. there's no point in scoring goals if you concede just as many, no? Don't underestimate the importance of the anchorman to make sure your defenders have no opportunity to make mistakes.. Yann M'Vila is amazing in that role for me. Thanks again Koflok, looking forward to any further developments you may have with this already flawless tactic!
Cheers man glad it's working for ya.
Yes true actually all players have essential roles in this tactic, but since the focus is attacking then that's why I recommended the front line to be lethal so that it can the advantage of this tactic can be maximized.
I'm those 'you score three then i'll score four' kind of guy. lol
Pilmalm:
Im playing in Greek Superleague (AEK Athens)
Season 2013-2014
But its still the best by far!
Its not my fav formation but it works for me!
Cheers thanks for testing.
Hi Marveen,
Good thinking but 'Cuts Inside' is likely to be a bad idea because inside forwards cut inside as part of their job description. If you have 'Cuts Inside' as a PPM then the computer will likely adjust their tactic to counteract your PPM. The opposition is already expecting you to Cut Inside sometimes however if you have it as a PPM AND your tactic then they're expecting you to do it every time therefore their player knows exactly how to deal with your attacking threat (show onto weaker foot etc).
Also, it will be wasted training and it pigeon holes the player so they are no use in a conventional winger position if you change tactics (As good as Koflok's tactic is you will need more than just his to get very good results from every match).
I'm waiting for Koflok to disagree with me entirely though? Lol
Logically, a cut inside PPM would good for the wingers as it would allow them to do their 'thing'. And I don't know, maybe that actually makes them do it more effectively.
But really, assuming you are putting the players correctly (right foot winger on AML and vice versa), they would automatically cut inside because - other than the player instructions - that's the best, and sometimes maybe, only option they have. Or as what you said 'as part of their job description'.
However what you said is true, if the opponent is good, they will know your player likes to cut inside then they would somehow counter it.
So, all in all, having a cut inside or not won't really matter much. It has its ups and downs. So I can't say much on that.
If your player already have it as their PPM, then just let it be. But if they don't, you don't have to train them to cut inside as TAPDoink mentioned.
One thing I'm against though, is having players who 'likes to dribble on right side' or 'hug touchline' something like that, because it would make them not want to cut inside.
