hei, koflok, i'm a noob in fm.. i'm currently using Juventus, i need your suggestion on where i should put Pirlo-Vidal-Marchisio according your tactics? i'm having a hard time to figure out what role suits them best, esp in the Anchor Man role..
thx!

Said in OP to share any good corner tactics, and this is easily the best I've used in any fm.....

Tallest CB attacking far post, shorter (preferably still tall) challenging keeper, and best finishing striker doing a near post flick on.

Aim, at far post, preferably in-swinging (although I do find the corner attribute itself is more important than which foot they use)

i love you men, your tactic is awesome, i love playing with it, it's really good
God bless you men ('cause i don't have changes) xD

So, a little late with the promised "review" and i'm not managing Dortmund anymore :) - kinda liked the challenge of Q.P.R. when one of my friends started with Swansea...

Well, this is how my transfers looked:

IN: Ruben Jenssen Yttergård, Danny Wilson (loan), Mushaga Bakenga, Darwin Quintero
OUT: Hogan Ephraim (12 mill), Rob Hulse (4 mill), Radek Cerny (4 mill), Shaun Derry (3 mill), and kinda trying to sell Adel Taarabt, as he dont fit in the tactic (btw, the amounts is in danish krones :p)

After a rough start (guess it was the "gel-time") i think it's going pretty well. I win against almost everyone besides the top-teams, and specially the 1-2 Liverpool-loss was very unlucky as i was 11vs10 for like 40 min and missed 3-4 CCC's in the last 15 min :O Anyways, the play is solid and as you can see my two attackers (Mushaga and Darwin) is banging them in (gotta mension that i use Mushaga on both wings too). In the first 3 months i really conceded a lot of goals on corners, freekicks and generally on crosses but it's improving as the tactic is almost fluent :) (and yeah, Ferdinand really failed me big time in the start - played like 6.00 in average in the first 8-10 matches and costed 2-3 goals :O

Only change is the d-line, where i tried out the surgested "normal"-setting cause i figured many of the opponents attackers would be fast and so (you know, being a small team and all). I just applied the corner-settings Gruff99 suggested - will let you know how that turns out :)

Besides finding a prober and stable cornersetting i've noticed that my defense is really ruvenable to high contraballs - dunno if there's anything to do with it, as i guess it's just something that goes with the high presure and offensive style :p

EDIT: Forgot to mention that i'm currently 9th in the league :D

Anyway, good job as always koflok - will give another reply when i've finished the first season :D

Btw, would like to know what instruction you use for the people not mentioned in the above :) - just "lurk outside area"?? (or what it's called in english :p)

i've found the best ATTACKING corner tactics to be this:

2 x stay back (full backs)
1 x attack near post (best header)
7 x lurk outside area (everybody else)

aim for near post, and for best results, have a left footer taking from right side and right footer from left side.

Scores LOADS.

For defending I use this which has great results:

1 x Mark Near Post (Winger)
1 x Mark Far Post (Winger)
2 x Mark Tall Player (DCs)
6 x Stay Back (everybody else)

a) wingers for marking posts because frees up the full backs to use their superior defensive skills
b) no players staying forward because they tend to start pushing out as soon as the corner is dealt with anyway
c) 6 x stay back because it seems to stop any crazy gaps between GK and defensive line for AI to charge into and score.

Hey sorry guys I haven't been here for a while. And the promised tactic hasn't been released as well.
I've been traveling to Sydney last week.

I got a lot of free time right now. So, I'm probably gonna start playing FM again and give out the promised tactic.

So far what I've been getting is the normal d-line defense. I will definitely try it out more.

Expect the tactic to be out by this weekend - assuming Skyrim doesn't' eat up a lot of my playing time. :D

Hi
I'm playing with Tottenham. What players should I take? I play by this one
defoe
bale d.costa
vdvaart modric
huddlestone
assou-ekoto kaboul dawson corluka
gomes

Why offensive players (AML, AMR, CS) have passing style set into "direct" and midfielders into "mixed" - not into short? What would the play looks like with short passing for whole team?

Hey, your tactic is great.

I was wondering if Cuts inside is a good PPM for the wingers? I guess it is but i want you to confirm it

hey koflok, i have a problem...very low possesion.. 45% maxim 53% i play with Arsenal..i beat M city
5-1...hmm i use ORIGINAL VERSION..patch 12.0.2?? sugestion

Sorry for me bad english

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS TACTIC! It's great enough that I love watching inside forwards at their best, cutting in to either assist another player scoring or having an excellent crack at goal themselves, but the way you've set this tactic out has worked marvels for me, Koflok! Hats off to you.

I honestly think that not only do you need your front three beasts to be, well, as beastly as possible in order for the 4 or 5 goal scorelines to be attained, but I think the next most important player after them is your DMC. there's no point in scoring goals if you concede just as many, no? Don't underestimate the importance of the anchorman to make sure your defenders have no opportunity to make mistakes.. Yann M'Vila is amazing in that role for me. Thanks again Koflok, looking forward to any further developments you may have with this already flawless tactic!

Definetly one of the best tactics so far in fm2012, although in smaller teams possesion sucks.. 50-50 or 55-45..
Any ideas about that?

Ps: Good job mate..

Caesar112:
I do wonder wich team you are playing with?
Tried this out with Blackpool, and didnt, in my opinion have any success at all?!(K)

Pilmalm:
Im playing in Greek Superleague (AEK Athens)
Season 2013-2014

But its still the best by far!
Its not my fav formation but it works for me!

I'm going to try this with Lens- but I don't think they have a good enough striker. I'm tired of not winning against sides i really should be against.

In between Alberto Bueno, Julien Toudic, Ali Mathlouthi and David Pollet (who seems to be the best for this role)

Cutting inside

Hey, your tactic is great.

I was wondering if Cuts inside is a good PPM for the wingers? I guess it is but i want you to confirm it

Hi Marveen,

Good thinking but 'Cuts Inside' is likely to be a bad idea because inside forwards cut inside as part of their job description. If you have 'Cuts Inside' as a PPM then the computer will likely adjust their tactic to counteract your PPM. The opposition is already expecting you to Cut Inside sometimes however if you have it as a PPM AND your tactic then they're expecting you to do it every time therefore their player knows exactly how to deal with your attacking threat (show onto weaker foot etc).

Also, it will be wasted training and it pigeon holes the player so they are no use in a conventional winger position if you change tactics (As good as Koflok's tactic is you will need more than just his to get very good results from every match).

I'm waiting for Koflok to disagree with me entirely though? Lol

dose this work on patch 12.0.4 if not can someone send me a link of the patch that it dose work on ??
