Great story Good to see a local team doing well (I'm from wilts too). I tried a game with Salisbury, but I don't think I'm cut out for lower leagues, certainly not to the level you are - straight promotions every year is insanely good!

Thanks Shiny. I do like smaller teams, but since turning professional its has gotten a lot harder. Honestly surprised I won the league and did check and saw that there were a bunch of key injuries out for higher teams which gave me the chance to win the league again. Ward wanted to much money and wasn't that good at goalie so he is not off the team and ironically got someone twice as good as him (just is as slow as a turtle) so we shall see how the new year goes. Also with it being semi -professional and whatnot it was easy to sign better people or have better players on your team than other teams so it wasn't that hard to promote. The game is getting really tough now so we shall see even if I did win the league with just 2 games to go. Last couple years its came down to the final game to see the league champ is which isn't good for the heart.

Hey mid-table finish isn’t that bad for the team and this was before we had a good goal keeper. With our goalie we should be fighting for a playoff spot. Last year would be the first year that our team would be overachievers in the league as we would again finish first place which was a shocker to the coaching staff as well. The real question is two leagues left until the the top and will they get there in two years. Odds are if they can get some more defenders, and a little luck then it’s a strong possibility.

With a 2-0-4 record for pre-season with basically all starters it didn’t look good. Still that was basically without a goalie since they didn’t get Antal until a week before the season started. Especially with four starters being signed the last two games in which they won. All offense again so its going to be huge for the defense to step up again this year. They are very short on the back four, but got done of midfielder and now strikers for the team so their shouldn’t be a lack of scoring this year.

A new year and another first place finish helps coach Gary get a new contract. Sadly no new offers to teams although there was some rumors to clubs, but none of the clubs got rid of their coaches which means the first couple of months when the firings come it should be a worrisome month or two for Wroughton.

New year, same tactics for coach Gary in a tournament. With that same results as coach Gary hasn’t been able to get out of the first game in the League cup for two years now. Some grumbling by the fans, but the 600 season ticket holders know they are in it for the long haul which means promotion.

An impressive start to the season. Not just for the record, a perfect 3-0-0, but more so of how we did it. Losing two defenders and then signing two people in the month, basically three if you to add our goalie who we got five days before the opener. Also add in that we lost the two defensive mid players on the team and it was great for what we did. Sure two games we were heavy favorites in, but still was an impressive outing when you start six new starters. With all of those new starters we only gave up 3 goals (one a game) and did score 6 goals.

Slightly underdogs in this one, but again coach Gary does what he has done the last couple of years and bench his starter to put all his effort into the league. Again another early exit. While the Board is very displeased with the coach this year with two exits in two different cups the fans are not that upset. Again too see if it has been worth it will be all decided at the end of the year.

Going 1-1-5 and dropping fifteen spots in the standings would get some managers worried and might even get them fired. Coach Gary isn’t worried. At least he can blame it on a very bad red card in one game, and possibility the worst luck for injuries in a month. Seven people are still injured in the next month, but at one time in the month has as much as thirteen people injured. With that was the two signings of defensive players, at one point called up reserve defensive men since all senior squad was injured. With that lack at the back line for a couple of games they gave up 23 goals and only scored 12. The Board didn’t fire him and in some games they did complete, unless you count the game they only took one shot but did score a goal.

With all the injuries we had to actually go hunting for loan players, and finally Wroughton has been getting some rep since they got four players this month on loan. With that, and they are all very good even if they are under 21, to help this team go 4-1-1 this month and push them back up to almost a playoff berth. It’s still early in the year, but it looks as getting their #1 striker back heading into the new month with the way they been playing it looks promising. They did manage to give up double digit goals again this month with 10, but the scoring came alive with two of the new loan players as they scored 15 goals this month to now make the club second in scoring although it is the first time they ever lead the league with giving up goals with 36.

Gatto and McGrath are the second and third player that they got from Southampton (link club). The biggest surprised is that they got Baverstock from Everton of all places and is the first player ever brought in on loan under coach Gary reign. Even if it is only three months.

With all the loan players and rumors of some more coming in that coach Gary actually can put in some bench players who are good enough to win games. Still though that wouldn’t be the chance this time as they would have to play a home away series and still lost. Still coach isn’t that upset as he is bringing in more players to push to advance in the league.

December is coach Gary’s month now. First it was a whirlwind downfall to start off his career and now its his month where he dominates. An undefeated month with a 4-2-0 record. Should have been perfect, but some people not healthy yet and some fitness cost us the two ties. Getting some of their strikers healthy meant the goals would start to pour back in as they would score 17 this month while only giving up 8. With that scoring output they now are just one goal away from leading the league which is why Wroughton is fighting again for promotion (this is crazy). Sadly with that record coach Gary still wasn’t coach of the month only cause we probably given up the most goals in the league as well (our defenders are not that good or can‘t stay healthy to jel)

Been awhile since I had a player in this. Ironically it was just for the last game in which they said I was heavily favor to lose (they had 2.00 for odds I had 3.20 and that is close compared to who I had to play this year like Port Vale). Still nice to have a player win something.

One if not the second game where I dominated the game, but just couldn’t get the win. The third game this month that the opposing team got a PK which lead them to the win. This was the tournament we were suppose to win since our backups are better than the other teams starters.

A 4-0-2 record this month was good. Odds though said they should of went 5-0-1 and the only loss they should of lost was to Port Vale in which they won. Still fighting for promotion and are missing out on second right now due to goal differential. They scored 10 goals this month and gave up 10 goals as well. Although eight of the goals they gave up came in two games.

It was a bitter sweet month for Wroughton and their coach. First for the sweet part. Four games this month a perfect 4-0-0. Even sweeter was them beating Norwich who is in first place. Still with that win they move up to second and are just three points out of another first place finish. For the bitter part this month is that three of the loan players that Wroughton got this year have went back to their main clubs. What’s even worst is that two were starting center backs for the team and the defensive midfielder. Their main backup for defensive midfielder was sold last month so it looks as if there will be a big dip off now for those three positions especially for the DM. So while they are in second place right now they still have eight games left in the year and now the coaches will be looking to see if their defense can hold up (earlier in the year before the loans they were not). Hey at least we have the most potent offense though in the league. With that offense they scored 12 goals (exactly 3 goals every game to boot), but did give up 7 goals (with 3 games allowing 2 each).

A 4-0-1 record is great this month. Moves us behind Norwich the leaders by one point. Sure the lost was a huge loss (6-0), but coach Gary gave his starters a rest to make the push for the rest of the month that panned out in the end. Even with those six goals given up in one game they only let in two more for the month to make it 8. Still outscoring their opponents as they would strike back with 9 this month. With just basically one month left could another first place finish be at hand?
