So i thought i would give Leeds Utd a go on FM, i wanted a bit of a challenge but also a team with some good youth players and a decent fan base.

Well at the moment Leeds are currently expected to finish in just 15th place, now a days they are better known for the off field antics of Owner Massimo Cellino but he is looking to sell the club and im hoping whoever comes in will bring in some huge investment. Some of the key players for us this season that i already know about including Alex Mowatt known for his wondershot, RB Sam Byram and striker Chris Wood who are all young players with bags of potential.

They have not won a major trophy in over 20 years and their main Golden spell was in the 70's but as im only in my early twenties i remember Leeds more in the early 2000's when they had the likes of Harry Kewell, Mark Viduka and Lucas Radebe in the side along with English players like Rio Ferdinand, Paul Robinson and one of my favourite players Alan Smith

So as you can see Leeds have won quite a few trophies over the years and my overall aim of the save will be to get past that Champions League Semi Finals stage and win the Champions League!
More realistic and closer aims are getting promoted and winning a trophy!​
 
Ewwww Leeds :P

Nah there youth set up is great generally on FM, in past I have poached players from there haha, Lewis Cook is another one with great potential, As long as you dont beat Brighton then we are all good :P

Hes touted as a big England prospect and i almost bought him in my last save with Man Utd, i know big things will be expected of the youngster this season and i would love to take him into the Premier League rather than sell him on.

Luke Murphy - DMC/CM

I have had this guy in a save i did before and i think it was with Crewe a few years back and he was brilliant for me in the center of the park so lets hope he keeps that form up! Injured at the moment but will be back by September.

Sam Byram - DR

First thing i did was get him a new long term contract as i know in real life hes just turned one down and looking to leave next summer on a free, Hes another youth player who i could well turn into a winger rather than a defender with our shortages in the final third.

No money to spend and im not one for ripping apart a squad i dont really know so there wont be any major changes this transfer window, i tried to bring in free agent Obasi and we couldnt even afford his wages with no transfer budget!​

July 2015 - Part 1

So literally the first two things i did was sign all my first team players up for extra match time for the under 21's to help with their match fitness and then let my assistant manager take control of my friendlies, it turned out my first team all played for my under 21 side and vice versa so the under 21's beat the first team 10-0!

Just found this guy in the reserves and sorted him out with a new deal, remember the name Jack Vann looks like a huge prospect for us.

My first signing is Rolando Aarons on loan for the season, we pay no fee and only half his wages in a brilliant deal, ive had him on previous saves with various lower league clubs and know he is amazing at this level, not sure in real life why he doesnt get a game at Newcastle, his contract is up at the end of the season too so would love to sign him up if he produces the goods for us.

AAargh no! Alex Mowatt the Wondershot King is out injured already and wont play for me until the middle of September, i hope my injury nightmares from previous FM's isnt following me!

Now ****** Aarons who i only just signed on a loan deal is out injured for a month and will also miss the start of the season

So we are predicted by the media to finish all the way down in 15th place but personally im thinking at least a top half finish if not a shot at the playoffs. I dont think we have enough to get promoted this year but we want to at least make it look possible for the next season.

Yep i have a leeds save too and mowett is out for 3 months for me...Ademyi plays well too

Yeah ive liked the look of Ademeyi too, been playing him and Cook in the middle whilst Mowatt is injured

Competition Expectations

Nothing too tough here, as they hoping for a mid table finish and us to win just one round of each cup competition to be happy so i should easily achieve those aims depending on who i get in the FA Cup 3rd rnd.

Heres my first starting 11 of the season whilst im using the same tactic i had on my recent Man Utd save, Ive had too put Antenucci out on the wing with Aarons not quite fit enough to play a part in this game

A superb win to start of the new season against recently relegated Burnley. We had a ton of chances but nothing too concrete until Sloth was brought down in the box right before half time but Antenucci missed the resulting penalty to leave us feeling dejected after half time.
My rousing speech obviously did the trick as Doukara netted the only goal of the game less than a minute after the restart whilst i was in the process of subbing him off and the player who set up the goal too! We dominated after that goal but just couldnt get the second goal but managed to hold out.

Another impressive attacking display but another one without the goals to back it up as we just about sneak past Bury thanks to a Chris Wood poachers effort not long after he came on for the woeful Antenucci.

My first choice AMC Casper Sloth is set to miss the next 3 months out with a bad back injury sustained in the ****** Gym!

This was a terrible loss for us in the league as we have the better chances and more possession but still come out of London the losers.
Nick Blackman netted for them in the opening couple of minutes before Chris Wood fired back almost immediately, he then put us into the lead before 20 minutes were gone. If anything we were then pushing for another goal rather than them getting a look in for an equalizer, just as i subbed a couple of my defensive players out for fresher players Chelsea loanee Piazon netted an equalizer for them in the 89th minute, and then to add insult to injury and give me a real throw my laptop at the wall moment they scored again a couple of minutes later to win.

Well we never stood a chance in this game with Bristol City the better side in every aspect of the match, they scored around half an hour in before we netted a scrapy equalizer right before the break. I made a couple of changes after the break to try and go on to win the game but it had the complete opposite affect and we conceded twice more.

We get back on track in the league after back to back losses with a very lucky and hard fought 1-0 win over Sheff Wed. Doukara came into the side in the AMC role and played very well and deserved his late winner whilst the big concern has been Chris Wood's poor form.

The scoreline doesnt do justice to how well we played against the Premier League side,We were 2-0 down by half time before Chris Woods got one back after the break, we really kicked into life with the subs around the hour mark with 2 goals in as many minutes making it look like we could be in line for a huge victory with Aarons having set up all 3 goals.
But we conceded one goal only 4 minutes later and i tried to bring everyone back into defence for the last 10 minutes but it didnt work and we conceded again and are out of the Cup earlier than our Board were hoping.​
 
don't worry about the takeover approach ....cellino is only teasing lol
 
Nice I also started a Leeds career mode and signed Aarons. Got Gaston Silva as back up for Taylor and Marvin Martin as backup for CAM. Sadly my full backs get 6.3s every game and I think Im going to be sacked! Hopefully you can do better!

One deal fallen through and another on the cards now! Hope the transfer embargo doesnt carry on into January!

Im about a month ahead of the thread now and Aarons has been amazing for me so far desperate to try and sign him on a free transfer next summer but the way hes been playing i dont think he will be sticking with us!
