Can you maybe adjust a bit of Marco van Basten's managerial ability's ?
I'll give you a few examples you can maybe apply to your new update.
- He has a tendency to spend really big on young players (Sulejmani to Ajax for 16.75m euro's, the previous highest record in the Dutch league was 9.0m for Huntelaar.)
- He loves huge 1st team squads (his ajax squad contained almost 55 contract players)
- His tactical tendency only sticks to the renowned ajax 433 system. (even tho under his ";eadership" holland played really well at euro 2008 in a 4231, it was the players who rebelled against him and made a formation that they though was going to best for them.
- He had a TERRIBLE record with player management ( examples are his fallouts as the Dutch manager with Edgar Davids, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Mark van Bommel, Clarence Seedorf.)
- And last: Please bring his current ability and his potential as a manager down! He failed at every job so far.
(he achieved nothing but putting the club in depth at Ajax, he was hired after 1 year of being a coach of the highest youth side of ajax, he quit within the 1st year and the club only managed to cling on the 3rd spot because his replacement won a couple of games in the end.)
His 4 years a manager of the Dutch side led to qualification of WC 06 and Euro 08 both times the lost the 1st game after the group stage.
And now with Heerenveen who are genuine contenders for European qualification spots are in the 14th of the 18 spots.
Need I say more about why he is soo incredibly overrated as a manager in the game?
