also i think keylor navas should receive a boost in his stats, not just for how he played at the WC but also for his last season form. He had 16 clean sheets in la liga, i would say thats very impressive given the fact that he played at a small team like levante. also he had the highest average ratings in the entire levante squad last season. Also he is the goalkeeper with the most saves in la liga's last season. Actually after having a closer look at statistics he is the GK with the most saves in all of the TOP5 european leagues last season.

Stop me if I'm wrong here, but y'know how you've downgraded Rooney, but left his potential ability the same? Does that mean if he's played well and hits form, he will get those original attributes he had back and be great again?

Meaning his downgrade was fair and realistic, as everyone has a bad season at one point and will eventually will get back to their original best.. so I don't think anyone has a point when they say it's been unfair to downgrade certain players when they have been below par in real life.. they can always get back to that, y'know?

I just noticed that with Rio Ferdinand, one of the best defenders in the world at one point, yet as the years and updates have gone on, his CA has dropped, but his PA hasn't.. it kind of makes sense.. in my head at least.

Yes Rooney can still improve to that level - Rio will not reach that and only get worse and thats just because of his age

Rooney may have been downgraded but its a very small downgrade and he is still world class in game

**** in important matches you say? you might want to check the number of goals he scored against barca (therefore very important match) in the last...let's say 10 direct games. also he scored 17 goals in the UCL this season which is an absolute record (including goals against bayern) and he also CARRIED portugal in the wc qualifiers, topping it off with those 4 goals in the playoffs against sweeden. statistically it was his best season ever. so yes, joke you say? o wait i forgot to mention he was injured for the last part of the season and still played(CL final and WC) . just lol at these haters ... sorry for the offtopic

He lost both matches in BBVA with barcelona this season if i stand correct. He also lost pretty much all games vs barcelona while pep was there. He had little to no importance in the cup one won by bale the past season.

He scored shitloads vs farmer teams and the sole reason he won the ballon is leo messi underperformed. As for the Champions league, di maria made almost all his goals. And funny thing is in this update he is barely boosted, although he had a way better season than penaldo.

I was actually stating a different thing, the fact that ronaldo got 17 goals is more of a team achievement. Di maria was brilliant the past season, modric also was world class. To say ronaldo had the best season ever is a complete understatement and a failure to perceive reality. Basically the whole team works for ronaldo at madrid. He is the only one to get credit though. And people overhype and overpraise (and in this case overboosts his stats) failing to see the real actors behind the curtain.

That for me is translated into having a mediocre football knowledge.

Judging by world cup performance (which should be highly taken into consideration in this update imo) and end of the BBVA season Ronaldo should probably have his stats reduced, not increased.

In the same situation should be casillas (mourinho did not bench him for nothing) he had lame goalkeeping for almost 3 seasons.
Same story as Ramos who arguably was worser than Pique (who should also be nerfed) - again, guardiola did not bench him for nothing. I saw xavi was a little downgraded and was happy with it, although i would argue that his workrate should be dropped considerably. He basically does not have the steam or the stamina to run like he did when barcelona kept on winning.

Returning to my praise of di maria, he was alongside a lazy messi, the engine driving argentina forward. Was arguably the best madrid player at the world cup. And yet he is barely boosted in game. If he had not been injured for the final, argentina would have probably won it.

Scoring 4 goals against Sweden is not so big, their defenders are worthless, the only good defender they have is Jonas Olsson, but the national manager doesnt like him...
