A hattrick from local lad Maher seals the League Cup Final win over our fierce local rivals Cork City as we win our 3rd trophy of the season after the All Ireland Cup and the Munster Senior Cup adding to my Trophy haul which now stands at 28 since i took over!

So along with the already mentioned games we beat Bray Wanderers in the Challenge Cup before struggling to a draw against Drogheda United, We ended our domestic side of the month with an impressive 5-2 win over Longford Town.

6 wins and a draw in the Champions League this month, Im a little sad bout the draw with Metalist, We came from 3-0 down to draw the match but they were the team i was really hoping to beat in the Group stages.
As you can see everything went through the Usual Suspects as Boadu, Maher and Feeney were at the top of their games this month.

Yes! Maher wins the Golden Boot! He was a massive 10 goals behind Keogh only a few months ago and yet he wins it by a goal and to go along with that has the most league assists.

This shows how much the luck of the draw is after we have really struggled in recent seasons at this stage and i was hoping for a 3rd place finish so we could be in the Europa League after Christmas but i wasnt expecting this!

So Chelsea thrashed everyone with 6 wins from 6 including putting 11 goals past us in 2 games but we managed to grab second place by winning 3 out of our other 4 group games with PSV in 3rd.

Maher was back to himself this year as he finishes the season as our Top Goalscorer for the 4th time in the last 5 seasons and has a league record of 129 goals in 166 games.

Boadu wasnt quite himself this year with a lot of fatigue and little injuries meaning he only played around half of the matches he should have but still managed 31 goals and 21 assists in 32 starts.

The young LB had an amazing first season for us playing over 50 times with a high average rating but he is one of the moaniest people i have ever had on this game! Hes wanted by a lot of clubs and i cant see he is going to want to stay for more than one more season.

Feeney who is one of the few players still left from the club i inherited has played the most games since i took over with 326 games whilst Maher has an incredible goalscoring record for someone so young,Its not like when he joined us he was established player! 244 goals in 285 games is incredible whilst his average rating over that time is 7.60!​

Thanks man! I found them so late in FM13 as i think i started my Limerick save only a few weeks before Fm14 came out so im determined to give them a proper good go this year, I think with the World Cup starting soon i will be into FM in the summer a lot more than i usually would be so im hoping to at least get to the point were Maher, Feeney and Delaney retire. I think the reason i love the Irish leagues is all the cups though as i can win 5 domestic trophies a league whilst when i did my Dinamo Zagreb save theres only 2 domestic trophies so once you went out of europe you lost interest.
You should definitly go for the Irish leagues i think how there set up leads you to playing the game a lot more, I find that when the new season starts im striving towards the Champions League qualifiers and then the group matches and then all of a sudden another year is over! thanks for reading

So along with Adam Johnson being released Lee Lynch and Eddie Nolan moved on after i didnt offer them new contracts and they agreed deals with other clubs.

Limerick buy a player! Thats right you heard it correctly i actually paid money for a player! I spent a whopping ?600k to sign Martin Samuelsen arguably the best player in the Irish league not at Limerick. Not only does he strengthen our wing areas which with Byrne, Johnson and Lynch all leaving look a little bear but it also seriously weakens our main rival Dundalk.
I also brought in a young AMC from Porto who looks like he could easily eclipse Boadu or at least offer some competiton and rotation to that spot along with signing Shane Long to hopefully tutor Maher.

It was all Bayern as they fluffed numerous chances before taking the lead through Shaqiri with not long left to go in the first half, Our midfield had a mare of a time but superstar Striker Maher managed to do the job on his own and grab an equalizer with an hour on the clock.
It ended 1-1 it shows how much we had our backs against the wall with our defenders having such high ratings and Clark winning the man of the match award.

2nd Leg V Bayern - Away

Yes your eyes are not deceiving you! We did it! Limerick beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League! Kroos gave them a lead on the half hour mark before Feeney hit back with an impressive brace to seal the 3-2 on aggregate victory and a place in the Champions League Quarter Finals. We only had 2 shots on target and scored both of them.

So we get knocked out 7-1 on aggregate but i was never expecting to get past the group stages let alone make the Quarter Finals of the Champions League.

We already have the record for Most Champions League goals and we also now have the less illustrious records of worst discipline and most goals conceded in the Champions League.
