Linecoigne's FIFA World League - a Chairman game

I was going to say yesterday that we should just leave any "in game" transfers to stand. I do echo what others said though and that's open our window before the in game transfer window starts in future. I'm quite happy to leave the Bellerin transfer as it is, Wenger did manage to sign another right back in game so not the end of the world
I'll definitely do that for the next transfer window yeah. Thanks for letting the Bellerin deal go through by the way :)

When will the Transfers be announced? Rui Vitoria has also bought well bringing in Simone Zaza, Jetro Willems, Sergio Canales and some others. I'm hoping my mega signing goes through.... Fingers crossed.

THE SUMMER TRANSFER WINDOW HAS CLOSED
Total amount spent: 640 million

BIGGEST TRANSFERS:

1. Toni Kroos from Real Madrid to Manchester United - 70 million (87 000 a week)

View attachment 152734
The talented German midfielder was one of many investments for a new-look Manchester United who look better than ever ahead of the first game of the season and could prove to be very serious title contenders, especially with Kroos in the midfield.
2. Antoine Griezmann from Atletico to Chelsea - 50 million (82 000 a week)

View attachment 152729

Chelsea didn't have the best of seasons last year and most of that came from the fact that they couldn't seem to score that many goals, something which the Chelsea chairman was very eager to change as he's shown with a massive purchase from Atletico. The French striker will be a great asset to Mourinho at Stamford Bridge this season as Chelsea will aim to finish higher than 12th this season.

3. Gareth Bale from Real Madrid to Manchester United - 45 million (85 000 a week)

View attachment 152732
The Welshman was on the transfer list at the Bernabeu despite a pretty decent first season in the World League Premiership but the Manchester United chairman clearly wanted to show that his new side will be a force to reckon with this season as the winger comes in for a hefty fee.

4. Koke from Atletico to Real Madrid - 45 million + James McCarthy (permanently) and Calleri (loan) (72 000 a week)

View attachment 152727
The raid of Atletico Madrid continues as club legend Koke very controversially moves to the other side of the city to Real Madrid where he will act as a replacement for Toni Kroos. Los Merengues have a very good squad that has now become even better with the arrival of Koke as the central midfielder/left midfielder could be very important this season for Real Madrid as they'll attempt a higher finish than last season.

5. Gonzalo Higuain from PSG to Manchester United - 40 million (73 000 a week)

View attachment 152724
An interesting move yet again in Manchester as Argentine striker Higuain moves away from the French capital Paris after just one season there. With Ibrahimovic now gone, many people expected Higuain to be his key replacement but after receiving an offer like that from Manchester United, the PSG chairman could reportedly not refuse considering he had a few replacements in mind anyway. The striker joins a group of a lot of new players but should easily make his mark at Old Trafford as he'll have to compete with the likes of Rooney and Lukaku.

BIGGEST SPENDERS:

1. Manchester United - 222.4 million

View attachment 152721
A huge spending spree for Villas-Boas' side who definitely look like one of the strongest teams in the league now with some huge names in the team such as Gareth Bale and Toni Kroos.

2. Real Madrid - 123 million

View attachment 152717
The first time we're seeing the club spend big since the start of the FIFA World League structure and it could pay off for them as they made some impressive investments during the transfer window.

3. Barcelona - 73 million

View attachment 152715
Another club who decided to spend big during the transfer window with some big names coming in at the club which should help the Blaugranas to finish higher than they did last season and actually fulfill the media's expectations of them winning the league this season.

For anyone who also offered a wage to Donnaruma, he went to Arsenal because of the guaranteed transfer perk. Additionally, Pulisic went to Atletico as both the clubs who offered wages gave me the same amount so I decided to give the player to the person who came to me with their offer first.

MOST PROMISING PLAYERS/POTENTIAL FLOPS:

There have been some incredible deals in this transfer window, some bargains and some big money moves. It looks like Romelu Lukaku could be a great signing for Manchester United, especially considering the amount they paid for him and the quality that he has in him, whist Joao Mario could also be a key player for Atletico. Toni Kroos will bring a lot to the Red Devils and Donnarumma is certainly a very exciting young goalkeeper who will definitely be able to do wonders in the FIFA World League Premiership.

Mahrez was Leicester's best player last season but has made a big jump by 3 divisions, however, he could prove to be a great signing for PSG, who splashed out 37 million on him

In other deals, Lucas Moura could be a flop at Corinthians considering he's not played much last season at PSG and joins a club still favourites for relegation despite narrowly escaping the drop last year. Calabria for PSG also seems like a bit of a weird choice to replace departing right-back Bellerin and his young age could end up turning him into a flop, especially considering the quality in the league this season. Finally, James McCarthy seems like a bit of a weird move for Atletico and considering he's just moved from the club's biggest rivals, he might not be able to handle the pressure and the expectations at Atletico Madrid.

The young Demarai Gray struggled at Porto last season and ended up getting relegated with his team and will face some tough competition at White Hart Lane

Now that's a wage! I understand why I was beaten to him!

Btw, the wages of those sold players can't be right. Bale was on something like £350K/week, would be weird if he went down £270K/week ^^

Also, will there be a second chance window of 24h, or is this it for now? Hurts to miss out on 2 fgn signings :( Especially to Lewie!

Yeah I think for big players like this we'd need to find a way to make the wages more realistic because the editor sets them to that when they're moved clubs so I don't know :P
and yes sorry! forgot to announce it!

THE SECOND CHANCE WINDOW STARTS NOW AND WILL END TOMORROW AT 12PM GMT

Actually also just realised why you said it was a huge wage, kept reading it as 130 000 :D

Is there gonna be a second chance window? Or is that it now?

I think what you should do for all c2c-transfers, is just keep their wage as the same one they had at their own club. Makes things easier!
