Linecoigne's FIFA World League - a Chairman game

Also, this is important: I know it's late but for the next transfer window, would you guys like to be able to give me a list of 5-6 players or so that cannot leave the club at all? That way, if there's a player you really want to stay at your club, if he moves because managers decide to make moves by themselves, I can reverse the transfers and you'll keep the players. Hope that makes sense, let me know!

Manchester United are delighted to announce the club has been sold to Star City based businessman Oliver Queen. Although the exact amount of the purchase hasn't been revealed, a source close to the club says the clubs value is over the £1 billion mark.

"I am delighted to be standing here as the new owner of Manchester United" Said Mr Queen. "this is a truly massive club with massive potential and I hope that I can help them realise it. As a club, we have been under-performing for far too long and the squad has been allowed to become stale. We need to be challenging at the very top end of the division and to do that, money has to be spent which is something I am not afraid of doing."

In his first act as Chairman, Mr Queen has relieved Louis Van Gaal from his position as first team manager and after a brief search has announced that former Chelsea and Tottenham coach Andre Villas-Boas will be taking over the first team.

"Andre is a great guy with plenty of potential and a nice, attacking brand of football. I have every confidence that he can lead this great club forward."

Transfer List

Wayne Rooney - FREE!!! - £235k pw
A player that I despise but still has quality in the game. Worth £16.5 mil, so even if you buy him and transfer list him he should make you some profit. 30 years old but with some years ahead of him, he could be a decent option for many teams in this league.

Bastian Schweinsteiger - FREE!!!! - £240k pw
Another bargain! Bastian had a good season last time out but I need shot of his wages. Still got plenty of legs even at 32 years of age and brings huge experience and quality.

Phil Jones - £10 mil - 83k pw
A good player with relatively low wages for this league and still young at only 24 years of age. No place for him in the squad here at Old Trafford so onto the transfer list he goes.

Antonio Valencia - £4 mil - £85k pw
Another quality player who can play anywhere on the right hand side, making him wonderful cover. 31 years old but still has 16 pace and acceleration and 17 stamina, the lad still has it. Forced out of the first team squad by recent signings.

Marouane Fellaini - £5 mil - 90k pw
The big lad is another player that I personally dont like but I am sure he could put in a shift for somebody. 19 strength, 18 stamina, can play anywhere from CDM to Striker, an excellent plan B and a pain for opposition.

Ashley Young - FREE!!! - £120k pw
His stats are still good, and he has had a decent pre-season both scoring and assisting but there is just no way he is going to play over any of the other options available to me.

Not sure about keeping those players kinda feel we should trust our managers but would be gutted to lose too players. What the others think?

Barcelona Transfer List
Not putting the prices on here, enquire for the prices :P

Alex Song - C(D)M
Great ball winner for a bottom half side.

Adriano - LB/RB

If you need a fullback and you're skint... here's your guy!

Sergi Roberto - CM
Great young talent, will flourish with regular playing time.

Christian Tello - RW/LW

Good tricky winger, ousted by the arrival of Yarmolenko though

Luciano Vietto - ST

Natural born goalscorer. Not getting past MSN though, so I'd rather have Luan as backup

Thomas Vermaelen - CB

Used to be good... still alright I suppose :P

Where's the latest list of who is in charge of what team?

I think having a few players who we can protect is good, so you don't lose your key players. Everyone else should be fair game :)

I don't think though that you should advance through any of the transfer window though until the chairman transfer window has closed. For example, I'm working on a deal to sell Morata (who had moved to City, but was kindly moved back to Juve :)) and also on a deal to buy Vietto from Atlético, however bow in game he's moved to Barca (something I wasn't aware of until right now and I don't think the Atlético chairman is aware of either). So... Problem there :D

This does seem like a problem.. but the updated game save was there.

Thanks for all that feedback guys, I'll definitely do that next transfer window to make sure that the chairman transfers come first. My only worry would be that imagine Atletico managed to buy Morata at the beginning of the transfer window and he just ended up moving somewhere else because the manager sold him halfway through, then it becomes hard for me to track all those transfers. But Matt419 your reasoning makes sense so I'll keep that in mind for the next transfer window even though SaintMotbot does make a good point that the latest game save had those transfers made already therefore it was easy for you/the Atletico chairman to see that Vietto had moved! Besides, I think AW190 put him up for sale anyway ;)

Yeah it was, but I've had Morata moved back from Juve to City since I was already working on a deal before the new save came out...

So for future transfers windows my advice would be that you don't advance anymore once you reach the start of the transfer window, until the window has been completed. Then sim through and the managers do what they want, however you give each club lets say five protected players :)

That sounds like a good idea, cheers mate :)

I'm 90% sure that if you move a player, the game won't sell them again in that transfer window. At least, we've never had that problem before in the past! :P

Well, if players are to be moved back after transfers, I think that should be up to us to decide for all the players. Kind of sucks if one transfer is cancelled, but another is not :p

Well it's especially difficult since, when the transfer window started, the safe we had available was at the end of last season with everyone still at their current club, but then during the window the new save was released with some players moved.

Thats my my biggest problem with this whole thing. When the transfer window started, the newest save then had Morata still at Juve. Yet the save that was released halfway through the window, Morata had moved to City. If we had that save with Morata at City from the start, I wouldn't have a problem with the transfer, but since what I said above happened... Kinda sucks :P

Yeah. So I'd say, for this window, as we weren't allowed to protect players from being sold. Either do not cancel any transfers, or allow us to cancel the ones we want cancelled. It should be the same for all teams.

Yeah that was my bad, was really busy with IB exams and couldn't really release the save earlier and I had moved forward in order to try and see about that whole European football issue that happened earlier. I'll make sure that I don't make the same mistake next transfer window :)
