We still have a cup final to look forward to and maybe another in the FA CUP.

Arsenal

Good to see you're staying positive (for some reason), Calum.

I hope you know I'm blaming this on you. (I'm not sure why as of yet - cockiness before the match ;) and not making a match thread :P)

He's not being stingy ffs. OK, Squillaci was a bad signing, I don't think anyone's disputing that but TV5 is back soon, Koscielny and Djourou have looked good together and we can't have 5 CBs or someone will be very unhappy.

We'll just stick with our current defenders who aren't good enough standard to win us the league then, fair enough.

last time i checked vermaelen is out till early march at the earliest

3 weeks is the latest news. Still, though. Bringing in someone like Cahill would be a pointless exercise when actually, we have 3 very good CBs and two/three good CBs in the Reserves (Bartley, Miquel in particular) who can provide decent enough back-up.

Apparently, though, Arsenal will bid for Sakho in the summer after his contract talks broke down. PSG will sell cheaper to avoid him leaving for free at the end of next season.

.
He's currently at Rankers on loan.

Koscielny and Djourou have conceded one goal in 5 PL matches. Squillaci is awful, I willingly admit that, but you have to give players a chance without just saying "shame on Wenger" every time we drop points.. OK, so he doesn't spend 30m on a centre-back - OR, maybe, just maybe, he tried to sign a CB, but didn't want to spend that much money on someone who probably isn't up to it. January is a sellers' window, very few quality players available.

I know. In terms of next season, I mean. (Since January is over!)

So, so lucky not to have a broken leg.

Peterborough 1-2 Southampton

Mackail-Smith, (fantastic run after a nothing ball, starts behind the defenders, beats them with pure pace and puts it near post of the keeper, quality goal).

"an arsenal fan has been rushed to hospital after he went into cardiac arrest following arsenals 4-4 result."

What the **** has happened today lol, just a big fat goal fest in the PremierLeague!!! You can guarrentee all the games tomorrow will be 0-0.

And Remember Abou has came back from a badly dislocated ankle in 2006 and has had many bad injuries.
So Diaby was right to fight back against Barton

Football today has gone crazy XD

Peterborough 2-2 Southampton

Whelpdale, 44 mins.

I would have reacted in a similar manner to Diaby I think.

Shocking, that.

This is the general Arsenal consensus on twitter, but that even if we sympathise with his reaction/understand why he did it (especially considering his history with injuries and those tackles), he shouldn't have reacted. See Sagna vs Bowyer as a prime example.

Picture makes it look a lot worse that it was, they both went for the ball and keep their legs down, Barton won the ball and tried to stop but momentum brought them together

Aside from the challenge, why wasn't Nolan sent off for doing the exact same thing? If not worse, considering he a) had less reason to do so, and b) had Szczesney in a headlock/wrestlemania type move not just pushing him in the back of the neck?
