When people have a stream for Pool Spurs, lemme know.

Is that "You're not champions anymore" chants from Newcastle supporters?

This isn't a pantomime, GC. mkay?

Also: "a comfortable Arsenal 3-1 is what I'm plumping for." --> Copy-cat much?

Just proves I'm much more prepared to stick my neck out and give a proper prediction, not just a scoreline. :)

TEAM NEWS: Vermaelen starts alongside Squillaci. No Djourou. Full team to follow

---------- Post added at 03:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:08 PM ----------

Team to play Aston Villa: Szczesny, Sagna, Vermaelen, Squillaci, Gibbs, Song, Wilshere, Walcott, Ramsey, Arshavin, Van Persie

#avfc team vs #afc: Friedel, Walker, Dunne, Collins, L Young, Delph, Reo-Coker, Petrov, Downing, A Young, Bent.

******* Collins and Dunne! At least Delph gets a run-out, this may well solve our biggest problem, that of a functional midfield. Also, means we're playing a three in midfield, our alternate shape.

And subs:
#avfc subs vs #afc: Marshall, Cuellar, Bradley, Pires, Albrighton, Agbonlahor, Heskey.

What does it take for Cuellar to win a starting spot already?!

Ohhh yes he can. ;) Match should be good either way, but a comfortable Arsenal 3-1 is what I'm plumping for.

Lol - 'plumping' ? Excellent verb - I plump, you plump, he plumps....aaaand so forth.

Arsenal are usually reliable at home so I agree it should be quite comfortable for them; the pressure is off for them now re the title race, & they're guaranteed CL footy next season. Also Villa's form is erratic & several of the first team are unsure of where they'll be playing their football next season; I hope Young's New Gold Dream of a transfer to the moos comes true for our sakes.

As I said on Twitter, key battles definitely RvP vs Collins, Young vs Gibbs, Bent vs Vermaelen and Song vs Delph. Sagna vs Downing will be pivotal, too.

Oh, and: BREAKING TEAM NEWS FROM ANFIELD
Andy Carroll starts for Liverpool.

3 - Jamie Carragher has scored as many Premier League goals for Tottenham as he has for Liverpool (3). Generous.

Hee hee
