Summer Transfer Window 2018

Sadly the PSG's £61m interest in Karius never materialised. There was a lot of interest in our players. Real Madrid sniffed round Salah, Arsenal bid £48m for Henderson.

One bid was too good to turn down...

I want to build the finances to maybe fund a new stadium in the next few seasons so all crazy bids will probably be accepted. In this case we have Sturridge, Solanke, Woodburn and Origi to help fill the gap. Only Charlie Austin at the feeder club so we will keep the chequebook in the pocket this time.

Nothing major but one player will be watched over the next season or two.

We lost our 100% start to the Premier League season to a 91st minute equaliser away to Newcastle but normal service was quickly resumed. Playing the reserve team in the UCL and League Cup so they are doing very well also and keeps the squad happy.

Another feeder club purchase. A 33 year old Klavan wanted a final payday in China so his wish was granted. Yoshida the only decent Southampton defender at a reasonable price.

I said a new stadium needs funded and I'd be open to some big money offers. Following Firmino out the door is ex-Southampton man Sadio Mane for a huge £106,000,000.

We have a few strikers in the squad but I play 3 up top so need plenty of backup and we raid the Saints once again for one of their recent signings. It was that or Charlie Austin!

Signed by the Saints for £7.25m he had 10 goals in 17 league starts so not bad and a tidy profit for the sister club.

They've at least reinvested some of our money but no signings are expecting me, their future manager!

I'm tempted to add a second manager and manage the feeder club also. I use instant result so won't be time consuming. I'll save it here for a bit.

What do you think??

Being the Southampton manager would help them bring in the players you then want to move onto Liverpool one day, sounds like a good idea to me

I disagree, you're already running away with the league so setting up future signings and then deciding the sale price yourself would make it too easy I think

Yeah - agree with this. If you take over Southampton you'll have too much control which makes it easy. Don't Southampton have a pretty good academy...I'm surprised you haven't signed any of their youth prospects (assuming they have some, of course)

Lol Well looks like everyone disagrees with me, i was thinking very innocently that you would simply take charge of Southampton but not sell players on the cheap, did a save once with Arsenal where i took charge of Blackburn too so i could loan a load of my youth players to them and make sure they got game time, was thinking in this sort of frame of mind. But i can see from other peoples points of view.

Cheers for the feedback.

I can see now that transfers between the clubs could prove an issue with agreeing fees.

I'll continue as Liverpool manager only.

A flawless period. Just send the Premier League title back to Anfield now.

Couldn't have asked for a tougher draw in the UCL as we head to Real Madrid for the first knockout round.

Elsewhere, I forgot to mention that Allegri replaced Mourinho at Man Utd and ex-Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers takes the helm at Southampton.

Some Southampton prospects. Their famous academy system will be key to our future success. I'll not be signing any of these unless their progress stalls at Southampton. They should in theory have better first team chances at the Saints especially if I am signing any decent first team players already there.

Brilliant season overall and hardly a bad thing to lose to Real Madrid! Origi has been awesome for you but nice to see Woodburn progressing too

Woodburn demanded a new contract. I feared the worst. He asked for £21,000 a week. Good boy.
