Liverpool Sign Huge Kit Deal - Warrior to replace Adidas

that's not quite true at all

How do you account for Sheikh City's challenge for honours then ? Do you seriously think they'd be where they are now if they hadn't bought everything with a backbone since their takeover ? Mancini is a good coach - not a great one - but he has bought quality. It's not a guarantee, but if the coach is no fool I still say: Money = Trophies.

It should be the players and performance that matter not the kit they wear.

The club badge is more important than the sponsorship badge.

If we are making £25m a year from it, then I have no problem. Primark could make our kits if they wanted to and I wouldn't care as long as it had that Liverbird on the front.

Read this in the papers this morning and was pretty shocked considering Liverpool have fallen from grace a little the past two seasons although they do remain a huge club. A good example of NESV utilising there business contacts though and a great deal for Liverpool.

they haven't won anything yet. Real madrid are the best example of this with the original galaticos after del bosque, took capello's team-making skill to win them the league. Money helps but its not the be all and end all

As I said, you need a decent coach too.

Having huge amounts of cash to splurge on new players also attracts the top managers. Mourinho wouldn't have gone to Chelski if Abramovich hadn't been available to finance his wishlist.

Just for anyone wondering, warrior is the biggest lacrosse company in the united states. They make really quality gear for lacrosse, but when it comes to football, I can see them going way over the top with their shirt designs. Although I guess it is hard to tell, because lacrosse is known for its over the top shorts designs in particular. IMO they should be better than Under Armour (which isn't saying much, but that is what spurs will be stuck with).

I put some links so you can get a feel for their style:

Absolutely massive news;

1) Biggest deal in English history
2) We have been with Adidas since **** knows
3) It's another massive step in the USA market.

Well done FSG and Mr Ayre.

Not just in the UK my friend - wherever football is popular basically. There's a huge potential market out there. Warrior will be paying for world wide exposure. FSG & Warrior Sports will both come out of this smiling.

As we know, thowing mega cash about for transfers almost guarantees results for a club, IF the manager is half-decent that is, so expect a serious amount of transfer activity at LFC this summer - even if the new sponsors aren't on board until 2012. FSG need the club to be succsesfull to keep raising it's world sporting profile, which sells more merchandise, which attracts bigger sponsors.... it's all good.
That's pretty much saying Wenger is a bad manager...
