Started off good but couple mixed results, what was your second string side for the CL game btw?

Think you should try Hernandez against a team lower down in the league. Might make Falcao realise he isn't always going to start.

Johnstone, Janko. Balanta, Smalling, Rojo, Carrick, Fellaini, Nani. Barkley, Deulofeu and i think Falcao started.

Hernandez has been a beast for me so far and think i will give him a start, the media have been moaning about Falcao but i think he needs minutes on the pitch to get the goals and the form back on track.

A bit knackered from work so thought i would just post a quick update and the good results can explain themselves as we won every game this month.

Up into second place, 4 points behind Chelsea but we do have a game in hand whilst Hernandez and Falcao are not only fighting for the starting place in the team but the Golden Boot too.

Winter Transfer Window

So i let Valencia go for a nominal fee first off as he wasnt getting any game time and had complained a bit, Nani then moved on to Real Madrid for over £20Million, I wasnt planning on selling him but when they came in for him on transfer deadline day and i said i wanted twice his value they were happy to agree, Hes almost 30 and on big wages so it was cash in now.

The start to the New Year did not go well as we first only drew our FA Cup tie against West Brom before going down to Hull i a game where we had numerous chances but they were more clinical.
We got back on track with an impressive 3-0 win over Liverpool with Hernandez grabbing his chance at a start with a couple of good goals and Deulofeu scoring a wonderstrike.
Falcao came back into the side for the FA Cup replay against West Brom and bagged a brace as we quickly tore them apart with our first team to go through to the next round. Daley Blind scored a wonderful solo goal within a minute against Arsenal in the league before Deulofeu sealed the 3 points with his 3rd goal in 3 games.
We then thrashed Swansea in the 1st leg of the Capital One Cup with Falcao netting a hattrick and Deulofeu making it 4 goals in 4 games before only drawing the return leg with a much changed side but we made it through to the Final where we will face Stoke City.
We also beat Walsall in the FA Cup 4th rnd with Nani grabbing his last goals for the club before his big money move to Real Madrid. We ended the month with a record breaking smash up against West Ham who had one of their players sent off early on and we dominated from their on out.

Arsenal winning CL in 2015, how the **** did they pull that off :D?
They beat Bayern in the Final and their manager at the time was Ancelotti but he just got fired as their doing poor in the league this year, they bought quite a few players including Florenzi, Konoplyanka and Luis Gustavo

Great job so far mate, let's hope United can push on for the League and CL.
Also, do you have an objective for this series?

Two big sales there in Nani and Valencia but a great month overall there and some nice big results! keep it up mate

Good results bud, look forward to see how you breed some of the youngsters into your team. Keep up the good work!!

Thanks man, Main aim was to get used to the game but i would like to stick with them for the foreseeable future, try and bring some youngsters through, see some of the players retire, 10 seasons is my aim.

Thanks mate, felt i needed to sell them before their values decreased too much and that Nani had more interest due to recent decent performances.

Thanks, Hoping some of the youngsters make it big with us, Im not going to try and bring in a big volume of players just a couple of quality players each year rather than stacks of players from now on, I want to see how Fosu-Mensah, Rashford, Wilson, Henriquez and Januzaj turn out,

Capital One Cup Final V Stoke

View attachment 326042

A comfortable win in the Final with Falcao giving us a 2 goal lead before Bojan got one back for them, Moments later Blind scored a wondergoal to get it back to 3-1 and then Stoke had a player sent off to kill the game. Then in injury time they scored an own goal to sum up their teams poor performance.

Well along with winning the Capital One Cup the other big thing of this month was that Falcao is truly back to his best with 9 goals in this month alone.
So we started the month well in the league with impressive wins over Norwich, Bournemouth and Stoke who we would go on to face in the Final at the end of the month before Chelsea dumped us out of the FA Cup thanks to a late goal from Diego Costa.
We then only managed a draw with Dortmund out in Germany after they went 2 goals up early on we had to throw everything at them to get back on track. We got back to winning ways in our next match with a 3-1 win against Swansea after some late goals including Hernandez getting his first goal in a long time.
We then ended the league month before the Cup Final with a 2-2 draw against Title Rivals Chelsea, we really needed the win but to be fair we were second best throughout and lucky to even get a point.

So were now 8 points behind Chelsea but we do have 2 games in hand on them whilst Falcao and Hernandez top the goalscoring charts but Falcao is starting to run away with it.

A nice month there mate and well done on the Capital One Cup win!

Great Capital One Cup which should save your job even if you don't win the EPL or CL, but seems like Chelsea could win the league this season.

Yeah their storming it this year brought in the likes of Nem, Nkolou, Iturbe, Bernard, Khedira, Santon and Rooney but luckily hes played second fiddle to Diego Costa so im not to blame for my own downfall. lol. Hoping for some big changes myself in the off season as i wont need all my money to go on Falcao this time round

I think that it's the defense which is having serious trouble because if you look at your last 10 games you've kept 1 clean sheet, someone like Subotic, Sokratis or Boateng might fill the gap.

Brilliant read this mate, some good signings aswell especially Falcao and Wanyama....making me want to start my own utd save when I get home from work later!!

Definitely agree that defence is our main weakness, have had a lot of injuries and bans for Shaw and Jones is a big miss but i would like to think that the fact Shaw, Rafael, Jones and De Gea are quite young may mean they will improve but i definitely think we need to get a dew clean sheets, In recent weeks Rojo and Balanta have been my centre back pairing due to injuries and they have done well.

Thanks mate, Im looking forward to the next summer transfer window! Last seasons felt like a bit of a bust having to pay out so much for a player i already had.

Massive Double Injury Blow

View attachment 325298View attachment 325297

Vertonghen and Falcao will miss the rest of the season and put major dents in any title aspirations we had this season, Also Luke Shaw has picked up a 3 game ban and Deulofeu is out for a month, James Wilson has been recalled from his loan as cover for Javier Hernandez.

So we started the month badly with a big loss to Everton as a lot of niggling injuries hamper our starting 11 and youngster Rashford even has to start. It got better though as we went 3-0 up against Dortmund with Januzaj on top form before they got two late goals back to give a nervy ending but we held on and made he Quarter Finals.
Up next was West Brom and we had Luke Shaw to thank for all 3 points with a late bizarre goal as he looked to cross the ball but instead found the back of the net. We then had two unfortunate draws against our league rivals Man City and Totteham with Fellaini grabbing his first ever goal for the club in the latter game.
We ended the month better than we started it as we beat Lyon 2-0 in the Champions League Quarter Finals to all but guarantee a place in the final four.

8 points behind Chelsea with a game in hand who really should be out of sight by now whilst the big shock is QPR rounding off the top 4.
