Ouch with the injuries mate, always tough and seems to happen a lot in this game
 
Falcao out for the season? Jesus man, I've had no injuries in my Man Utd save. Unlucky, but keep pushing for the CL.

Yeah im pretty gutted that so many long term injuries happened at the same time before these 3 i didnt really have any major injuries since i started, almost finished the season so hoping to crack out a few updates tonight.

So we started the month with a comfortable win over 4th places QPR before beating Lyon on the night 2-1 with youngster Rashford getting his first goal for the club and we sealed our place in the final 4, We drew At Madrid with the other Semi Final an all Spanish affair between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
We then had back to back wins against Newcastle and Southampton with Hernandez in fine form but again we conceded silly goals to leave the games far too close for my liking.
We then played At Madrid in Spain and had former Real Madrid player Di Maria to thank for our away goal in this bore 1-1 draw.
We then thumped Hull in the league 6-0 with Di Maria coming on late on to net a hattrick, We ended the month with a massive win over At Madrid with James Wilson getting the winner! He just came back from being on loan at Brentford to go and score the all important winning goal in the Champions League Semi Finals!
But after the euphoria of reaching the Champions League Final where we would face Barcelona we came crashing back down to earth with a 0-0 draw with Nottm Forest which all but gave up the title to Chelsea.

5 points behind with 2 games left, we have a small chance but im all but focused on the Champions League Final whilst the race for the Golden Boot is over as Hernandez has caught up and overtaken the injured Falcao, playing only one striker up top but having 2 players with over 20 goals in the league is not bad though.​
 
Unlucky with the league mate! hopefully next season you can do it but good luck in the CL final!

So we lost the title to Chelsea in the next game, we got a very early own goal and i thought we were going to see the game out after having a shed load of chances to score the second goal but instead they scored a very late equalizer to destroy our title hopes. We then comfortably beat Crystal Palace to finish the season.

So we finished the season 4 points off Chelsea on the same amount of points that won us the League last season but we were miles ahead of 3rd place Totteham and its all about the Champions League Final now.

Hernandez secured the Champions League win with the only goal of the game whilst Rafael was the man of the match, we were both missing big players in Falcao but they found it harder without Suarez and Messi.

So i have been a bit worried about my defense but its hard to look at who to replace as my full backs have been on fire this season, if anything i will buy an extra player to use in rotation as injuries and bans are what hit us hard more than the quality of our starting 11.

Summer Transfer Window - July/August 2016

So we were given around £70 Million to spend on players whilst the transfer money we get from selling players is still only at 40%, I had an offer from Dortmund for Blind but by the time you take this into account its barely worth doing any transfers out unless the player is unhappy or refusing to sign a new deal.

Kevin Strootman - £50Million

So Strootman joined PSG for £34Million a couple of years back but recently fell out with them and was dropped to the reserves, Hes dubbed one of the best players at the club now and for that big price tag im hoping thats the case.

Isco - £11.75Million

Well i got my own Black Friday deal as i get the transfer listed Isco for a fraction of his real worth and best of all hes so versatile he will cover several positions.

Inigo Martinez - £35Million

I asked the board to sort out this deal as i had run out of my transfer budget and felt like we could do with another option at centre back, So they simply activated his release clause and snapped him up.

I consider all 3 of these players key first team members but i dont really have a best starting 11, its more just having a bigger and better squad, Balanta, Vertonghen, Martinez and Jones can all fight it out for the centre back spot whilst Falcao and Hernandez are both going to get plenty of game time.

Players Out

A couple players left for nominal fees but mainly it was just players leaving with their contracts up including Chris Smalling, Anders Lindegaard, Michael Carrick, Nick Powell and Tom Cleverly.

As an attacking Full/Wing back, Rafael is probably the best RB ingame. Crosses well, has pace, rarely makes mistakes, doesn't get carded that often and is overall outstanding. Plus, he's HomeGrownatClub for us.

@CMC, nice story mate, and gleeful at the CL victory! xD Although, yeah, probably overpaid for Strootman =P
 
I was told i pverpaid for strootman in last years save, sure i paid 40mil for him and following season sold him for profit! Strootman is a great buy regardless of price.

I think i sort of evened out the money spent over the two if you know what i mean, I have never signed Strootman before but thought i would give him a whirl.

Thanks mate, need some consistency now, want to have a few months of easy wins rather than struggling for a clean sheet, Rafael has been a beast for me so far but Luke Shaw hasnt been far behind, nice to know i have a few positions sorted for the next 10 odd seasons.

I have liked the look of him so far, was sort of a suppy and demand sort of thing as i really wanted him and could see other teams circling.

Pre - Season - July 2016

Results - 5 Wins - 1 Draw - O Loss

So we started the Pre-Season with hardly any of the first team and i think you can tell when they all became available as we struggled for goals near the start of Pre-Season before scoring 14 goals in our last 3 games including an amazing 5-1 win over Benfica, The big miss has been Falcao picking up another injury whilst with Columbia and missing all of pre-season.​

Abdennour is a ****** left back and grabbed a first half hattrick as the right side of my defense crumbled with Janko filling in for the injured Rafael and Vertonghen had a mare, It was all us in the second half as we had loads of chances and got a couple back but couldnt push for the equalizer and i was fuming!

So after the dissapointment against Monaco we started the league season well with big wins over Stoke and Arsenal with Isco grabbing his first goal for us on his league debut, We then struggled massively against QPR who are actually a decent side on this save and have a strikeforce of Austin, Rhodes and Lord Bendtner but we managed to grab a late winner through Munir whos on his make or break season with us really as i dont really want to loan him out much more and i think he wants to go if he doenst play regularly.

So we start the month badly with a stuttering draw with Everton as Vertonghen gets sent off early on and Everton score from the resulting penalty, we had a shed load of chances but it wasnt until the 70th minute when Hernandez equalized around the same time i was about to take him off.
We started our Champions League campaign well with an easy 3-0 win over Sporting with Falcao grabbing a goal after his recent injury troubles and we then went on to beat Leicester with an early goal from Rafael before Falcao hit the crossbar twice and we had a nervy end to the game before Deulofeu was fouled and Hernandez knocked in the late penalty.
Man City knocked us out of the Capital One Cup with a 3-2 win after Falcao had two goals disallowed! It was one of those games were you just know your not going to win, 2 disallowed goals and they scored not long after either of them.
We got back on track after that defeat with comfortable wins over Newcastle and Bilbao(Im Sure KLIPPYBO will be happy Lol) with Falcao back on fine form after recent injury worries and Inigo Martinez grabbing his first goal for the club.

Top of the table with the only other team unbeaten Norwich who we face next, Phil Jones has been on fire so far this season along with Daley Blind and i think that has shown with the 5 clean sheets in our opening 11 games which is quite good for our defence.​
