What a Game, Glad samba scored as hes in my fantasy team XD, Rooney I will always not approve of anymore because of what he done no matter what he does for united... Today he played best he has played in a long time passes where excellent and he used his footballing brain!
Berba simply outstanding hopefully he can keep this up and grab more. He should have had a sixth was a good save from robinson.

Off Topic: FC United of Manchester earned a replay after a 90+6 minute penalty save from Sam Ashton :D - FCUM - Man Utd 3rd round draw would be amazing ! Would be interesting to see what happens if they get the tie at OT none of the Away support would go LOL XD

And as for the above posts I agree I also prefer the old Rooney the playmaker when Ronaldo was there, The football and Commitment he put in was amazing

Ok, we are back baby.
Anderson was immense, if he plays like this he could be better than Fletcher for us.
Carrick in the Busquets role has been very good lately. Thank god for that.

If I had to pick one bad thing it would be Evans. He comes on and we concede. Yeah, I know he was against Samba but he is not very good in the air for a big lad. He doesn't jump most of the times.

Was having this discussion before with a friend.

Which Rooney do you prefer? The Rooney who provided goals when Ronaldo was in the side, or the Rooney who was more of a goalscorer last year. Its a close call but I'd say I prefer him as a provider/creative player.
easily the provider/creator whos chips in with a few (2006-2009) we are so much more balanced as a side

to be fair there are very few defenders who will hold off samba there. even vidic would have had his hands full

Same. As long as Berbatov keeps scoring and Nani and Park exploiting the wings, Rooney will have an easy time picking out passes.
And lets not forget we have Valencia to come back to provide bit more pace then Park, aswell as Obertan, and we also have Hernandez to fill in for Berba when he's not in form.
Looking good for United I'd say.
Haven't even gotten to the full backs ^^)

Vidic would have had his hands full but he would have done enough to put him off. And we can't compare Evans to Vidic, I'm just saying I have never seen him compete for difficult balls in the air.

What a game. Excellent. Not just the score line, but the performance was sexcellent. It was so close to 2006-07 season. Orgasmic.

Rio is the best English CB, no doubt. I heard he has not committed a foul in over 700 mins. Plz do research as i'm not sure. His reading of the game is excellent.

Carrick was back to his former self. Good news for England NT.

Anderson bossed the game. He was absolutely brilliant. His dribbling, passing, through ball were simply superb.

Nani again proved why he is one of the best winger. His end product is very impressive.

Berbatov: Has any one scored 4 goals in a match more than once? I'm not sure. His link up play was excellent. His partnership with Rooney was pure ***.

Rooney. He is the player who made the difference today. Involved in every single move, his first touch, one touch passing, link up play was amazing.

Overall i'm on cloud 9 with the performance. When we turn up, we are excellent to watch. Hope this is just the beginning.

yeah hes not that type of player, hes more similar to rio, very good on the second ball

Agreed but he still has a lot to learn to become like Ferdinand and this is why I never like him partnering with Ferdinand.

Was Smalling on the bench? I was wishing Smalling would come on.

First of all i will start with abit of my knowledge, Lampard scored 4 against Derby in 2008 and 4 against Villa in March this year.

Excellent win for Utd and seems as if they gave Rovers the run around, i think we will learn more about them once they start winning away games but they can now use this result to push them forward. Shocking shocking day for me as the **** won aswell but Chelsea FC the bar has been risen lets see what this team is really made of.

If I'm honest, when I seen Berbatov scored 5, I thought my Blackberry needed a refund.

Just got home from the game and I'm so happy I chose this game over the Valencia one to go to :)

We started at a really good pace and attacked from the off which showed with Berbatov's goal in the first few minutes. We didn't stop going forward all first half and Van Der Sar didn't touch the ball much, in fact he actually was doing warm ups throughout the first half as he wasn't doing enough and it was ****** freezing!

Second half we were solid defensively and got 2 early goals. We battered them. Anderson really bossed the entire midfield and looked really dangerous every time he came forward. Rooney was coming back to help out the midfield which got us to outnumber them. When Vidic came off we didn't look as comfortable at the back. Jonny Evans was getting booed by a section of the home fans so I think it may have got to him. He looked uncomfortable on the ball and was trying a bit too hard. Rafael was absolutely superb as well and had Diouf in his pocket. On a side note, Diouf is a ****. We booed him due to his Liverpool links, and he was blowing kisses to the fans making them angrier, and one fan got escorted out of the ground for chasing him down the tunnel at HT (not sure if that's been publicised).

All in all it was an amazing performance from us today. Berbatov's finishing was incredible, Anderson's dribbling was dazzling and Rooney's passing was immaculate. Nani should have set up Rooney when it was 5-0 (i think) when Nani was 1 on 1 and Rooney was square, but he took an extra touch when he didn't have to and Robinson managed to save it.

Great day out, fans didn't stop singing at any point, and I really enjoyed it. Blackburn fans were a bit violent when they scored and ran over to the nearest United fans ranting and raving but the stewards did their job well. In fairness to the Blackburn fans, even when they were 7-0 down they were still singing, although of course they were drowned out by our lot. Great performance from our boys, although I would've loved to have kept a clean sheet for GD purposes as we had finally managed to close the gap in that section of the league table. But hey, nothing can be perfect eh? :)

Just watched the goals on MOTD and The passing and the goals were SO SLICK! im amazed we should have scored alot more, if we play like how we use to all the time the league is ours!

Same here mate link up play is outstanding, and Berba was just everywhere he needed to be. Berbas goal he created from his own box Outstanding! Premiership - welcome back to Old Trafford

The play was actually orgasmic lol

Why do you think Fergie brought Anderson? As a replacement for Scholes and if today is anything to go by he is doing a good job.

I think this was around the time nani started performing consistently last year and maybe anderson is following his example. Deju vu?
