Rookie manager Josh Gregg has reportedly blasted his team after their poor 3-1 opening day loss to Plymouth! 'I did not 'blast' the players in anyway! I just told them I expect more and it was dissapointing for the fans to see us trounced like that at home!'

Palace are already slipping behind as they started with a 10 point deduction.

Only person who has won so far. :D

Opening Day of The Season

Palace on Top

Crystal Palace 2-0 Plymouth

Crystal Palace strolled to victory today against a distinctly average Plymouth Side today at Selhurst Park. Tonks' men had a strong pre-season and put aside the club's Financial Worries, to dominate the first half with goals coming from Nick Carle and Alan Lee. The match was over as a contest by half-time, with a stale second-half Nick Carle picked up the Man-of-the-Match award for a classy performance.

:O

Unlucky mate, better luck next time, but I can understand why you lost to us, as we are obviously the biggest club in Europe ;)

Josh Gregg has recorded his first win as Crystal Palace manager with a 3-0 League Cup win over Dagenham and Redbridge. 'We scored early through Alan (Lee) and he then got another, it was also good to see Sean (Scannell) get on the scoresheet'

14th August 2009
Palace have rejected a 1.3 million pound bid from Tottenham for hot prospect Sean Scannell. Gregg regarded him as an asset that he needs to keep.

Palace today earned their first league point of the season with a 1-1 draw at Ashton Gate. 'A good result against a good side today, I actually feel quite hard done by to not be talking to you now with 2 more points'

Just reached the end of August and will update tomorrow after school. Really enjoying this at the moment :)

imo, the interesting thing about palace is the potential takeover. hope you guys get a sugar daddy, and good luck :D

Updates soon. I've played 6 league games now.

I have been through lots of emotions of late. I have been worrying about the future for Palace in general obviously and also the quality of players available to me. But I have been through joy as well.

I was standing on the touchline at a gloomy Portman Road with my head in my hands. After losing the previous game to a Bristol City side, who never looked like losing, 1-0, I thought I was in for another heartbreaking loss. It was 2-0 and we had barely seen the ball all game. Ipswich were on scintillating form and we never stood a chance.

Then I heard the roar of the fans. I looked up. Goal! To my utter disbelief, Alan Lee had smashed a bullet header past a helpless Richard Wright and run off to celebrate with the fans. I still knew we had a long way to go but the goal came. Jose Fonte headed the ball onto the post. The crowd went silent. The world stopped. Then, something incredible happened. The ball rebounded off David Wright and into the net. The fans went crazy. I was dancing in jubilation. This was the greatest moment of my short career so far. I ran onto the pitch with the coaches. Elation. Excitement. Enjoyment.

So I go back to London filled with joy. We have -6 points and are starting to look like a team that can pull together in these tough times. I only hope so!

Some good results there keep up the hard luck takeover might happen

End of August Update

In an exclusive interview with Luke Tonks, He revealed that a Premier League club were set to open talks with Victor Moses but without revealing the club he did believe that the figure could be around £2.5million.

The boss was not sure how many others he would lose before the transfer window closes in the next couple of days but he did say that he was surprised at some of the bids from clubs which he has been told about.

"Some of the offers we have had from clubs for some of our players have been disgusting, pathetic really, I just hope the administrator is responsible with the offers because I know what I would do with them."

"We have had a satisfactory month, without our points deduction we would be just outside the play-offs, which is where we stand as a club at the moment. Our Carling Cup defeat against Preston was disappointing as good cup run would have helped us financially."

"Our player of the month award has gone to Patrick McCarthy, who has been solid at the back without doing anything spectacular which is exactly what we asked of him."

I sit here in a gloomy and strangely damp room with my head in my hands and a tear in my eye. I am not enjoying the greatest of starts. I can feel the board are on edge with me and I am not surprised one bit. I think to myself, is it worth it? I have never felt so far from home before and I think of the girlfriend I left in order to take this job. I replay Zakuani's last gasp goal for Peterborough, over and over again in my head. I regret the anger I showed towards the team. I feel deserted. I have never felt so alone.

Luck has again turned away from Josh Gregg and his Crystal Palace side after they were beaten by Ipswich courtesy of an 87th minute Jon Stead strike! The final score was
3-2, The Eagles goals were both scored by youngster Fred Sears.

Today luck was finally on Josh Gregg's side as his team struggled but got a point against a dominant Newcastle side. Final score 0-0.

Crystal Palace have today been eliminated from the League Cup after their 2-1 loss at home to Cardiff. 'We were unlucky today, but we really need to shape up otherwise we will be falling behind everyone else' Gregg stated after the event.

Maybe it's because you are not well, or are you not going to use that excuse Chris ;)

Chris your doing better than me :S

The league table confirms my fears in a harsh reality. 4 points from 5 games seems to sum up the managerial ability I have at the moment. Results go against me in dying moments. Players get foolishly sent off and get angry when I don't allow them to leave to play reserve football at a higher level. My only glimmer of light is Alan Lee. He seems to find the net in every game he plays. I know I will have to fight through the tough times but right now, relegation seems to be stuck at the front of my mind, almost grinning at me...

You only think you are bad Chris, I lost to ****** Crewe in the net game lol
