I play nearly all my games with Fulham 'cause I'm a fan myself and never ever have I been able to get the players of that calibre in the very first season. At least not in the very beginning.

Usually I have to settle with more unknown players from South America or France, Italy e.g. I have always wanted Gignac, but even if I have the money (meaning I'd have to sell a couple of players) and got a bid accpeted, he doesn't want to come himself.

Also the 8m£ prize seems bit low. Just now they are asking about 25m£ for him... in the very first July.

So, marvelous action, but what is your secret? I do use newer db now, but even with the older db I could not get him. And never have i gotten more money from the board in the beginning either.

What is your reputation before (sunday league, semi-pro, pro)?

Reputation is on automatic.

Pretty much got Young because of the amount of wages and bonuses I offered, same for Vieira.

Van Der Vaart & Garay pretty much came because they were transfer listed.

I also use 48 monthly installments, which keeps you with more of you budget if you have a lot of wage budget available sometimes, e.g my budget was around 65k under when I bought Young, so it allowed me to get him.

DMF got gignac aswell so obviously nothing dodgey there
48 months does help sometimes :P

What about the prize of Gignac? Did they accept it right away?

And did you have some good transfer offers accepted when you asked to get more transfer budget?

Oh, and what is that skin? Looks a lot like "Three" which I used in FM2009, haven't found one for FM2010 yet.

Yeah they accepted £8m in 48 months straight away.

I sold Andranik for £3m and Zamora for £4m, then asked for more budget I think, I can't remember what order it was in, look on the dates of my screenshots when I showed it all.

& The skin can be found here, it's called rd4 skin.

Hey, here is the latest update, along with screenshots of my squad like fmguy asked :)

Hull 1-0 Fulham:
Poor performance and a poor result against a poor team. Just to much poor going around in this match for us. Bad result.

Fulham 2-0 Everton (Gignac 2):
Good result and much better than the Hull game. Gignac was class and scored 2 great goals to give us 3 points.

Man United 1-1 Fulham (FA Cup) (Murphy):
Somehow we scored a goal in a game we played awful in, but a replay is good as we can bring them to our ground and possibly cause an upset. :)

FC Twente 2-1 Fulham (Europa League) (Douglas O.G):
Poor performance against a pretty good team, but we should of got some sort of positive result from this. Hopefully we'll get a result back at the Cottage, but we must win :(

Man City 0-1 Fulham (Murphy):
Amazing result but not such an amazing performance. We defended for the whole 90 minutes, but 93 minutes into the game with seconds remaining, Danny Murphy popped up with a point blank header from a corner to give us a precious 3 points :D

Fulham 3-1 FC Twente (Europa League) (Young 2, Gignac):
Great result for us which puts us through to the next round :D Young was class and scored 2 cracking free kicks, and crossed for Gignac's headed goal :) Ecstatic with the result, I don't know how far we can go in this though.

So, we're playing well since the lost to FC Twente, with the win over City being a massive boost for us :) Hopefully we can find some consistent form now.

Sorry to go off topic but you know in 'josharsenal's Fulham story, was it your title he copied etc?
 
Nah it was DMF's and Tiraths :) But he copied Harry's idea for my Portsmouth one aswell.
 
Ahh right. I noticed he bought Gignac and Melchiot, so I thought it was yours.

Going well in the league, Fulham for CL? :O
 
Now you've just got to hang onto 5th spot as I doubt you can get 4th :P

How do I?

I've done Portsmouth, Sunderland, West Ham & Fulham?

Portsmouth got to the 4th season, Sunderland got to the 3rd, West Ham kept overheating :S

Only other one was US Portsmouth that I did a season with and then got back into my Sunderland.

If you don't like it, don't comment.
 
Does it matter how many stories he does, he sticks with them for at least 2 seasons unless theres a problem with this computer etc
 
I wish Duff and Zamora's stats resembled to there form in real life, SI games consistently let me down on that front ;)

However, I shall cease my moan for now and congratulate you on your great form, two great results against the blue and red side on Manchester, whom do you play in the next round of the Europa League after that win over two legs?
 
I love to make stories and my gateshead one im so stook to i carnt believe im in December top of league i think this story is class
