Your doing really well Max much better than i'm doing with Pompey. Do you mind posting how you play Kevin Prince-Boateng? Thanks alot.

Yeah just tried to get a loan deal for O'Hara but the embargo is on until February 1st, although the loan and free transfer deadlines are at the end of February I think, so we'll see if anything develops.

Donovan completes move to Portsmouth:
Landon Donovan has completed his move to high flying Portsmouth in a bid to secure his world cup place with his country, USA. Donovan's contract at LA Galaxy expired on the 31st of December, and therefore Portsmouth signed him on a free transfer. Portsmouth had agreed for this deal before the embargo was put in place, allowing the deal to be confirmed.

He plays in AMC behind the 2 strikers, plays pretty well, scores a couple of goals too and assists nicely. I think he's set as "Attacking Midfielder" and set to "Attack".

Updates soon.

Just wondering, what is a signing on fee? Oh, and good luck, Donovan is a great signing!!!

it is the amount of money that you give to a player when they sign for your team

I want Kanu to do brilliant so i can lol at every screenshot of him, Nwankwo XD

Lol at the Kanu thing.

Update very soon.

Here is the latest update after 20 games :)..

Man City 1-0 Portsmouth:
We were never expected to get anything from this but we played really well and were unlucky to concede. Diop and Wilson picked up slight knocks and might miss the Wolves game.

Portsmouth 0-1 Wolves
Really unlucky to lose and deserved better but that's football and we didn't take our chances and they did. Good performance defensively though.

Hull 1-4 Portsmouth (Utaka, Diop, Boateng 2):
Perfect way to bounce back here from 2 straight losses. Hull didn't turn up, although they did go 1-0 up early on but got over confident and looked poor. Great win.

Portsmouth 1-0 Stoke (Utaka):
Great win and just what we needed to keep our good form going, Utaka scored again as a substitute and is showing why they can him an impact player. Great performance and great result.

Wigan 1-1 Portsmouth (Utaka):
Great performance and deserved more than a point really. Decided to start Utaka and he got another got, 4 goals in just 2 starts and about 8 sub appearances. Good point

West Ham 1-2 Portsmouth (Smith, Diop):
Fantastic result! West Ham are struggling at the bottom and we piled on the misey here. Diop showing his worth to the team with a class performance and same for Tommy Smith. Great performance :)

Portsmouth 2-1 Burnley (Dindane, Boateng):
Good result against relegation rivals. Relegation doesn't seem a problem for us yet this season, but things can change which is why these games are the most important. We were 2-0 up until Eagles clawed one back for Burnley on 83 minutes to put us under some pressure, but we held on :)

Portsmouth 2-0 Sunderland (Piquionne, Diop):
Once again scoring 2 goals in a match and another fantastic defensive display. We will miss playes like Diop, Belhadj, Yebda, Dindane and some others when they go for the African Nations Cup in January, so important for us and especially Diop and Belhadj who have been consistent all season and Diop is scoring his fair share lately. Great result :D

Portsmouth 0-1 Everton:
Sadly the unbeaten run had to end at some point, and it did here. We were unlucky not to win and should of atleast got a point but once again lack of quality finishing costs us points.

Aston Villa 5-3 Portsmouth (Belhadj, Piquionne, Diop):
Can't take anything away from the lads here. They gave 100% and it was 3-3 at half time, but Villa came out after what must of been inspiration at half time and dominated. We went 3-0 down so we did well to even get it to 3-3, really proud of the lads and hopefully we can get back on track after 2 really tough fixtures.

Player of the month:
Papa Bouba Diop,
he's been fantastic in the last couple of matches and even getting on the scoresheet himself. Fair play to the lad, we'll miss him when he's at the African Nations.

Overall I'm delighted and mid table is still my aim and I'll be happy with it at the end of the season :D

Here are screenshots of the table, stats, Diop, the transfer embargo and my transfers :)

Great stuff as usual Max. Great read too. :D

Annoyin about the transfer embargo
