Im playing him centre mid just now mate.... Got some good centre halfs in Wheater, Riggot and Campbell but he is good cover if i've got injuries or suspensions!

What do use think the chances are of me bein able to retain the services of my loan players next season? I no with Footy manager 09 some players were reluctant to come bk for a 2nd season?

Not really a challenge, owned the Championship with Middlesbrough in my first game.

Sold a load of players (Taylor included for about £2.5m)...and bought a few average replacements.

Well my Championship season has now ended and i gained promotion, finishing second place behind Newcastle! Sheffield Utd won in the Play off final against Ipswich to join myself and Newcastle in the EPL!

Leroy Lita and David Wheater made it into team of the season and i finished runner up for Manager of the Year!

Here are my tranfers from July 2010's tranfer window..... Spent alot i know, but felt it was necessary in oreder to stay in the EPL!

Off to what i would call a decent start! Unbeatin after 5 games in the EPL! Winning 1 against Everton at Goodison Park! Drew my other 4 games against Villa, Man Utd, Spurs and a home goaless draw with Sunderland! I've only conceded 2 goals in 5 games which is a good outcome! Whats not so pleasin is only gettin on the score board 3 times!

I an NOT happy! The fixture list, midway through december, has handed me 6 away games in a row! 5 in the EPL and one in the FA Cup! Has this ever happened to anyone else? Surely not more than 6????????

6 away games in a row :O nah thats never happened to me, anyway good signings so sure you'll do well :)

Good start with some very tricky fixtures, Good luck in your up coming games. Looks like you will be tough to beat with that defensive record !

Well january has come and im lookin to offload some fringe players, to keep my wage bill down..... I hate makin a loss at the end of the month and it alternates each month! Which is alright i suppose, means im not constantly opperatin at a loss!

Thank god decmber has passed with 6 away games in a row! I managed to come through them without damagin moral too much, picking up a decent 8 points out of 15 against the following teams..... PORTSMOUTH, BLACKBURN,WEST HAM, ASTON VILLA and MAN UTD! Managed an away win at Bournmouth in the FA Cup 3rd round also!

Now im into Jan i managed to offload a couple of high earners. Brad Jones left for Villareal for £2.7million, Tony McMahon left for West Ham in £1.1million move.... and 15k a week Sol Campbell left for 70k after not playin 1 min for my first team for the 1st part of my Premier League season! Good bit of business if u ask me!

So the first week into January and im sittin a respectable 8th! Losing only 4 in the league! Concedin 18 goals and scorin a poor 19!

Well i've come to the end of season 2010/2011 as Middlesbrough manager! Finished in a respectable 10th place in the EPL! Probably over acheived cindering the age of my squad and the amount of money i've spent since i've takin control!

I did what i set out to do.... Which was to remove older, foreign high earners and replace them with talented young English players who are cheaper on the wage bill!

To finish 11th with the squad i have assembled is a great season and i hope to keep the majority of my players and hopefully add a few more additions! However, my Chairman, Steve Gibson, has constantly accepted offers on behalf of the club, but luckily i have some very loyal players! With the current squad i don't believe i can achieve anymore than i have done already! So hopefully, Mr Gibson will put his hand in his pocket so i can push for a European place!

Dont make to many signings in one season, just add to the base of the team so that they gel. look at thefree agents and i wouldnt worry to much about nationality more that they can just speak english and maybe look at some of your players favoured personall or ask them to recommend you players. Congrats by the way.

Cheers pal! I've brought in a young 16year old from Lincoln whose stats are alrealdy decent and he'll be tutored from Billy Jones!

Also offered a contract to Owen but he won accept as alot of teams in Europe have offered similar deals! Got Macheda on loan and im trying to get Jordan Spence from West Ham as there's alot of interest in my captain David Wheater and Emanual Pogatetz! Not good if i lose them!

Check out gael kakuta at chelsea hes pretty good on football manager

Right, now into season 2011/12 and a few transfers have come and gone! I was gutted to see David Wheater and Adam Johnson leave the club as release clauses were activated at £10.5million each to AC Milian and Chelsea! Gutted to lose them but hopefully the young replacements can step into the team and perform as good if not better!

I needed pace at the back as i lost a few goals in previous seasons as my defense was pretty slow.... So i bought young English centre back Nedum Onuoha from Manchester City for a bargain £3million! (will upload his stats just shortly) I also signed Jordan Spence from West Ham as i NO he perfoms well consistantly from my West Ham game! I paid an initial £5million and exchanged Griffiths and reserve goalkeeper Jason Steele! Griffiths was very poor throughout the season scorin only once all season and Steele's stats were no where near good enough for the premiership!

I also bought 2 very young potential talents, the first bein a 17 year old goalkeeper from Nantes called Amadou Gouamene! His stats are already showin potential and Joe Hart will tutor him into a top EPL 'keeper! I also beat off competition from Real, Chelsea and Man Utd! Delighted! The other youngster was right back Joey Williams from Lincoln who again, stats are showin some great promise and i have Billy Jones mentorin him! Another for the future!

The two main signings were Freddy Adu £7.5million and Stewart Downing has returned to the Riverside in a £5.5million deal! Stewar has been brought in to replace the outgoing Adam Johnson and i personally think he'll perform better as his stats are better! Adu has been class in Footy Manager since he was 16 so we all no his talents!

Michael Owen was brought in on a free and on a slim £20k a week which is what i need, a natural goalscorer which is what i've been missin! Macheda and Whilshere were brought in on loan deals and Whilshere has been brought in to replace Alliadiere who was wantin £25k a week and is nowhere near that amount of money! So i let him leave on a free!

Let me no what use all think! I was given a transfer kitty of £24million for a top half finish! In order to progress, i raised the salary cap from £30k a week to £45k per week! But in EPL terms, it's still pretty small!

Hope use are enjoying my story and feel free to advise!

Off to an absolutely fantastic start in my 3rd season in charge at The Riverside! After 8 games, i've managed 16points from a possible 24 with 4 wins and 4 draws! Was a tough start on the opening day of the 2011/2012 season with a trip to the Emirates where i was up against a lackluster Arsenal and managed to hold them to a goaless draw!

Freddy Adu has been on great form since the opening day and i hope it continues!

So far, i haven't missed David Wheater at the back.... Ohnuoha and Chris Riggot have been solid, with Andrew Taylor and Billy Jones either side! Hart has been pretty solid also, concedin 7 goals!

On a not so positive note, im out the Carling Cup already, losing 4-3 to Leeds on penalties after a 2-2 draw at Elland Road! I did play a 'weakend team' though!
