With the 2017 MLS season due to start, this season sees the league expand
with two new franchises joining Major League Soccer in the United States.
In the Southeast lies a sleeping giant, set to mark it's first year in the
competition but it's ambitions are somewhat bigger than their lack of history
in the competition would otherwise indicate.

Owned by American Business man, Author Blank, who also owns NFL franchise
the Atlanta Falcons, has an estimated net worth of $3.9 billion so Atlanta
United are a club with investment behind them to develop the infrastructure
to be a world class club this side of the Atlantic.

With both franchises set to play at the new 71,000 seated Mercedes-Benz
Stadium scheduled to be completed in August 2017, Atlanta United will
play their home games at the Bobby Dodd Stadium which holds 55,000.

Super start mate, always been a fan of following MLS saves but not playing them due to the rules!

Cheers mate. I've always been facinated by the MLS since it's growing into something we can't really ignore anymore. The contract system and the salary cap are taking some getting used to but I'm slowing getting the hang of it.
 
thinking of doing mls save myself. did one a few years back with Vancouver but the rules took me ages to adapt too.

I'm just getting used to the salary caps and the 3 designated player rule. I think I've got my head around the draft rules and we'll see how that pans out :p

Before I start assessing the tactical side of this squad, I have to sort out the backroom squad. Being a
new franchise, Atlanta United have next to no one in the the club's employ so that's the first thing I'm

I was tasked with submitting my 30 man squad list and i was forced to let Irish Left Mid Chris McCann
leave the club on the waiver since i was only allowed 8 foreign players in the squad. From our first
draft of the season, i picked up two young American players to act as squad players.

Yes! he is back. Hopefully when the full game comes out you can continue this save.

In FM17, I spent 15 season with Toronto FC trying to win the Club World Cup. Failed but really had fun playing the save.
