More goals from corner?

The corner exploit is shocking in 10.3. It was spotted in testing (along with several other match engine exploits...) but trying to fix it meant that even worse exploits opened up! And PaulC confirms that the match engine is now not going to be touched again in FM10, which isn't so good because the corner exploit is just the biggest and most obvious.

Ah well, it's easy goals if you choose to use it - and at least the corner exploit has to be deliberately set-up.

Yeah that tactic is awesome, better than the last one for me, my center forward often has scored 3/4 goals a game just from corners.

I feel a bit dirty using it.. :S

as i said, its up to you/ppl to use or not. i have same feeling XD so i decide to set right corner to far post and left corner to penalty area, it makes me feel better :'( But i dont know wat happens as game goes on. I reckon its not easy to score from corner as the player who lurk outside has been marked... we should enjoy the moment its still useful<)

Yeah and when he gets marked, they nick the ball off you, leg it to your goal and smash one in!

Two players - St Far
Two players - Lurk (one of them is corner taker, the other your best long shooter with good first touch)
Two players - Back

Corners - Penalty Area


This setup leaves lurking player completely free. He can control the ball, advance to the goal and shoot freely...

i have kinda mixed the two ploys so have an outswinging corner with a player lurking to the dge of the are and an inswinging to far post with a godd header of ball, have scored from both people in my last game

That is actually crazy, Fair enough with Real Madrid i guess but if it starts pwning Man Utd with Scarbrough then we have a real problem.

1 CB - challenge keeper (3rd best headerer)
1 attack near post
1 attack from deep
1 attack far post (2nd best headerer)
1 near post flick
1 stand far post (4th best headerer)

long shot specialist lurk outside box

Set both sides to "Far Post" score quite frequently from this tactic (get at least 2 or 3 good headerers to all attack the far post)

Ok guys, this is the new corner tactic for p10.3. The point is ur team score lots of goals, but sometimes, teams find out your tactic and make it useless. But no panic as next match comes up, it works again:$

Caution: u can use the tactic, BUT dont blame me for boring matches that 4 out of 5 goals scored from corner(K)

And heres the instruction:

2 players stay back ( normally 2 FBs)

2 players near post flick on

2 players attack far post

2 players challenge kp

1 player stand on far post ( maybe attack near post, but NOT attack from deep)

The last but most important: LURK OUTSIDE. This is goalscorer who should has finishing >=14 and /or longshot >= 12. In addition, strength and pace are important.

Aim: penalty area

Ck takers: high passing

Remember DONT set 3 players into the same position . ie Angeline, Jennifer and Penelope all challenge kp! coz other players mix up their positionsXD
