Mr Langvatn FM16 Tactic Center

in the tactics you have in the front page you have fix ythe corners ste up ?or i must do it myself?

The "fix" was worse than the original, so just stick to the ones on the front page until I have thoroughly tested enough to release a new corner routine.

Hi Mr L, have you seen the corner routines from Strikerless?
FM16 Corners; Various Routines And Their Merits | Strikerless

At the least it's a good foundation to start with :)

Also I currently use the 451 (1st one), would it matter if I inverted the tactic to have the Winger on the left/ IF on the right?

I will probably do some more work on that tactic, as it performed quite badly in my test. That said, there is only one way to know if something works, and that's by trying it. So, try it :)

And yes, I have seen Strikerless' courner routines. Will have a closer look soon :)

New variation: 4-4-2

New variation: 4-4-2

I will run it through the test tonight I think! It has huge potential, and could perhaps end up as the top tactic, or one of the top ones. This also has Strikerless' near corner routine installed. So, will be interesting to see in the test how it does! :)

I looked through the thread, and googled for alternatives without success. So maybe I should just ask here.
Would it be possible to get the database you are using to test these tactics?
I'm feeling more unsure about tactics in this game than ever and I can't seem to get any confidence in the once I'm trying out.
I think just setting up and simulating a whole while would be a good way of actually trying them out. Much like you are doing here.
Maybe a small tutorial on how you are doing the testing as well, if possible.

I'm currently using the 4-5-1 Spin the Wheel tactic after the update and it seems as though either my strikers can't finish or something is wrong with the formation?

Only thing I done was change the False9 into a CF-Attack

I play a match last night after the change and won 3-0, so I'm a lil confused.

currently using the 4-4-1-1, and it's already a beast.
Congrats !

Also the new one ,the 442 works very good,

i noticed that the P.Is of the WMs are different (L and R) ,also the MCs ,why is that ?

Hey Mr. Langvatn,

I have a question about tactic testing and I hope you can give me some information. What do you select in FMRTE before every match? Do you heal team, inspire and remove the team bans? Or just one of them. Because when I select all three things, I freeze my team, after the match all aspects are different. Or is freeze team just for their statistics and stuff?

I hope you can help me out. Good work already! :)

1) Go on your team page
2) Press first heal team, then inspire team, then remove team bans
3) Then press on the first player of your team (left click with your mouse), then press shift and select the last player of your team, so you will see al your team select, now press freeze selected then save.

Obviously you need to keep FMRTE running in the meanwhile you play FM!

Holy **** Mr. L you've been busy o.o

Can't even decide on what to try first between yours, CEs, and TFFs tactics, as usual ppl on this forum get spoiled with loads of tactics :)

I only removed team bans before the FIRST match though, not every match, as that would be unfair to tactics which "play nicely" :) Also, when you "freeze" them, you freeze everything, morale, fitness ++

Because I couldn't get the 4-4-2 to work without making more changes, and those changes made it work :) Simple as that :)

what do you think in your 442 about moving an MC to DM position ? and which one you would ?

Hard away games

Hei Mr Langvatn!

Currently using the 4-4-1-1 tactic with my Man United and its working fairly well, atleast for home games.

But away games is really hard! And i guess its because the mentality has been set to controll.

Obviously its hard to play away to Chelsea, Man City etc and try to controll the game, more or less impossible id say.

So what do you suggest for away games in terms of changing mentality for exampel? And if mentality is changed, do i have to change the PI`s accordingly?

Thanks

In this year's FM, I've experienced the opposite. It is possible to dominate in possession in away matches against the big boys too. That said, changing mentality won't help much, as every TI and PI is set to function together with "control". Obviously, away games are harder than home games, and you would need a specific tactic towards away games only to really make a difference. For example, TFF's predator tactic is amazing in away matches, but struggles at home.

The best thing would be to have a tactic-set of a home tactic and an away tactic :)

By the way, the formation is the number one determiner as to whether a tactic is best at home or away (much more than mentality).

I do not wish to share my test database, as to achieve accurate results would require everyone to test in EXACTLY the same way. However, I can give additional information about how I have set it up, what parameters to set for the testing, etc. so that you can make your own. By the way, you do need FMRTE to achieve an accurate database/test file.
