Mr Langvatn FM16 Tactic Center

My question about this tactic is if we can randomly loose a game by some expressive numbers, it's a pity if this happens on a semi-final of champions league or even the final, no? if we made a sensational season with this tactic and for some bad luck we loose the IMPORTANT game of the season (a final) it's frustrating no?

I've only had problems with Arsenal, but I think think it's due to the strength difference (I'm a heavy underdog here). I think it's due to their formation countering mine. But, come on, it has 5 strikers :) It's probably not the best away in the hardest encounters :) Can use another tactic in the absolute hardest away matches maybe? At home, it has no problems vs anyone in my experience. Away it dominates most, but I have experienced that against the top teams away, other tactics have performed better.

Oh, and a very important thing guys, the CM's should be hard-working guys with high stamina, not the technical type, although "passing" is important.

I know for a fact that it is absolutely perfect now, so I can release it before I finish the test. But this one, it is important that NOTHING is changed. It is NOT versatile. It only works JUST the way it is.

Guys, please read what Mr Langvatn said... you shouldn't change anything in the tactic or it won't work! It only works JUST the way it is !

Correct, NOTHING can be changed, no roles, no TI's, no PI's. I've tried every other possible way, and almost every other way is a disaster.

do you use oi?

No, but I do believe OI's and manual marking together may improve the stability. However, as tmanual marking isn't plug and play, this is something you have to experiment with yourselves :)

i try the tactic and for me the defense is bad.

Could you post a full season result please? :) Both me and other tacticians at this forum tell "you" all the time to not base any testing on singular match results, not even 10 is accurate at all. That said, of course it's not the best defense tactic, it has 5 strikers, but it's super high scoring. If you want stable 1-0, 2-0 wins, then you go with another tactic :) I use this in my personal save because it's FUN and over a full season it's the tactic that gives me the most points :)

Thanks for your answer! Before I test it tonight, this works on 16.1.1 version? I have to know if i should block my steam connection! :D

Hey, Mr. L, I am using 3-4-3 with Spurs and I am having troubles really on away games... Won against Juventus and Man City home and losing from Newcastle and Swansea in the next 2 matches away... In general the whole season I am having troubles away from home.

Do you use defensive positioning on 50% focus on match prep? If not, that helps :) Other than that, you need quick defenders with high concentration for that tactic. You could try the new 3-2-5 tactic, as that has a much deeper D-line and contain mentality. Or if your prefer more balanced tactics, the 5-3-2 and the 4-4-1-1 are good :)

You also have to consider RNG, and only judge the full season result. In the 3-4-3 test, I also conceded a lot of goals some times, for example losing 4-2 to Sunderland. If I had reloaded that match vs Sunderland, I would probably have won. It's all about rolling dices. I just provide dices that go from lets say 4-10 rather than 1-8. I could still roll a 4, while a worse tactic could still roll 8, getting a better result in that match. But in the END, the 4-10 will have gotten better results than the 1-8 :) The opposition also rolls, so if the opposition rolls 1-8, and it gets an 8, and I roll a 4, even though the chances for that is low, then I lose the match. This is of course very simplified, but that's the basics. Playing against a top team makes their "dice" stronger, lets say 4-10 on them too. Then, in one match, I could roll 10 and they 4, and I would win 5-0. If reload that game, suddenly the opponent may have rolled a 10, and we have rolled a 4. Then we could lose 5-0.

Yes, I use this instructions for training, but without result. Maybe I will try with the 4-4-1-1

If you haven't played a full season yet, I would still use the 3-2-5, as it will only get better when your team cohesion gets better. I also had problems in the beginning of the test save, but in the end, it was unstoppable. Another "problem" with this tactic, is that all players have a hidden attribute called "preferred formations". Since this is a formation that is very far away from ALL players' preferred formation, then it will take a little time to adjust.

OMG OMG OMG and yes i have to try it :D

Just remember to give it time :) In the test, I had some problems in the beginning, but last half of season was a walkover against almost every team! The players prob need to be able to work well together (team cohesion), more so than other tactics due to the limited number of players in defense.

With the new one is it left foot on the right and right on left, or doesn't it matter?
