Mr Langvatn FM16 Tactic Center

In off-season now and not sure what players to target, F9 or DLF. Been switching between your 4-1-1 and the predator v8/9 which isn't included in your newer tests, so really hard to pin it down :D

How much does changing player roles matter? Would changing the CM - Automatic to Advanced playmaker support be fine?

Is difficult to test Predetor, because TTF is updating it almost every day. When he gets a final release I will test it, people are having great results with it.

It's the best tactic I have come across for use in LLM. I'm having unbelievable success with it at Tranmere Rovers, managed to win the Vanarama National and am now top of League 2 the following season and 13 points clear in December. :)

I haven't tried the 3-4-3 but I'd guess it doesn't work too well in LLM because the roles it requires are not roles the players are good at.

I don't think the 4-1-4-1 is in the OP anymore, I'll post it when I get home later if you like.

What training you use for the 4-1-4-1 ?

Fittness / Def Positioning?

Results from the first season of my personal save

Hi guys!

I just thought I'd share with you the result of the first season with Bodø Glimt (media prediction 13th). No first 11 signings. I have used the 3-4-3 Heavy Metal from start to finish :)

How important are the wide midfielders and what would you say are the most important attributes?

I never seem to find any midfielder that suits that roll. Also, should the foot be inverted or not?

One of the wide midfielders get player of the year in every save i've tried it in so far, so they are VERY important :) Inverted foot is in my experience not a neccessity. I've used inside forward/winger types there, with high acceleration/pace/dribbling/passing/finishing. But I haven't tried much other types, so other types could be better ofc. I just haven't had the chance yet to try different types there :)

Thanks, do you happen to have an ideal example of a wide midfielder so I can have something to base my search on?

So tackling and positioning are basically unimportant despite it being part of the player filter for Wide midfielder?

that 3-2-5 has got to be the worst tactic I've used on here in quiet some time, currently 4-1 down to blackburn in the capital one cup with a full strength team, not even close to being a game breaker. ill keep going with it to see if it does pick up but never won 5-1 and then drew 3-3 and 4-4 its a liability defensively.

It's a "I score more than you" approach tactic. If you like more balanced ones, go with the 4-4-2 Heavy Metal :) I like the 3-2-5 and the 3-4-3 the best, with the 4-4-2 as a third :) That said, I haven't tested any tactics with a top team, and I do think the 3-2-5 is best when you have a mid-table/sub-top team, as this was what it was made for :) It has defensive/structured mentality, usually not the best if you have a world class team. The 3-4-3 on the other hand should work very well with a top team.

I'm working on better courner routines for the 3-4-3 atm. Will share with you when I'm satisfied with it :) But these things take a really long time to test, so be patient :P
