In your 4-4-2 testing with the two WMs cutting inside, did you use opposite foot players?
 
ill give that 4-4-1-1 and 4-4-2 idea from OP a try and see what happens

Well, making a transition from 4-4-1-1 to 3-4-3 is going to mess up the team cohesion completely, so you would need a full year for the transition to be complete. The reason you have bad results after the switch is not because of the tactic, but that the team cohesion is on a very low level. You can check this in assistant reports.

Nope, as the assistant manager picked the team. But I believe it would do even better with inverted foot.
 
3-4-3 Heavy Metal v3 is coming, with OI's, and some changes in the marking system, and new corner/freekick/throw-in routines!

Looking forward to that one, Already switched from 3-2-5 to 3-4-3 v2. as i really got my **** kicked with Paris FC, but to be fair getting the tactics 100% fluid takes quite a while with smaller teams, and that might jinx the potential in the tactics - well i'll be testing on with Paris FC :)

As I'm 100% certain that this is a significant improvement from the v1 and the v2, I'll just release it now instead of waiting for finished test results. Remember to set the OI's!

Edit: I had uploaded slightly outdated OI's. Use this instead.

3-4-3 Heavy Metal v3 halfway through the test. As you can see, the tactic still scores as many goals as the v1/v2, but the defense is insanely much better.

Hi Mr L i'm a huge admire of your tactics and am currently gonna start a new save with aston villa, which tactics should i use home and away?
 
After this test is done, I will improve the 4-4-2 Heavy Metal in the same way as I have improved this 3-4-3. With all the same set piece tweaks and marking and OI's.

I will update all the tactics, to make sure that all downloads from the front page includes the latest setup regarding set pieces and marking. In the meantime, to make the front page easier to navigate through, I will clean it up, and I have put all the earlier versions of tactics into a zip file. As I update the tactics, they will be uploaded separately again.
