Better to wait until we have re-tested all the tactics in the new database, which is much more accurate :)

Nottingham Forest Tactic

Hey, Mr. L. I was wondering if you recommend any tactic in particular for a Championship team since I have tried most of your tactics and only seem to be winning by 1 goal in scorelines of 1-0, 2-1 and draws of 1-1.
Any advice would be great!

My advice is the 4-2-3-1 Spin the Wheel Updated. I will know more about which tactics are the best when we have run them through the new database.

Alright, thanks! I'll be waiting for the results. Do you know how long it could take?

Shadow Ninjas is really good

At least from my personal experience, the Shadow Ninjas tactic is definitely the best tactic you've made. Predicted to finish 18th, and I won the league with 5 games to spare even with a very high points tally of second placed Wrexham. The tactic was only competent/accomplished throughout as well. For me this is pretty much on par with the extremely overpowered Monstrous Plug & Play tactic made by TotalFootballFan9 for FM15. Thanks for the great work, Mr L!

With the new Spin the Wheel, is the corner taker one of the ones instructed to stay back? Or someone else?

You don't use any OI's right? Is your assistant manager controlling anything? Like team talks or OI's?
I don't use any OI and neither does my assistant.
I run the team talks. Maybe that's why I have those rezults away from home :D:D:D

It can be due to many things; RNG, team cohesion, team talk, using players below 92% condition, injuries, players unhappy for having been ignored or maybe you had a problem with one player, then it spread to the rest of the team. There are so many things to think about in FM nowadays. I have personally used that tactic in several saves, and it did very well in the previous database test, and from the looks of it, very good in the new test also.

Btw guys, me and the guys are testing hardcore style in the new test, and from what we've seen extremely accurate. Not far from pinpoint performance every time we run the test.

What's nice to see is that my tweaks to the opposition teams really paid off as well. In addition to my own players getting 20 consistency etc (hidden stats), injury proneness 1, all opposition teams have that too, and that really shows in the test. Same teams are getting top rankings almost every test.

V1 or V2? Thanks

I can confirm that the 4-3-3 Shadow Ninjas tactic is a quite good one, based on the results of the new test. Later today, or possibly tomorrow, a lot of test results will be shared with everyone. We are testing our ***** off here, and this new database is sooo quick after I removed every competition in the world + removal of the media. So we are able to test in a much more efficient way than before, perhaps 200% faster than before.

5-3-2 Spin the Wheel has the best defense so far in the test :) Also a good overall result! We are doing two or three tests though. The one I'm running now is a top team test. We will be running each tactic through two or three different databases, one for top teams, one for underdogs and maybe one for mid-table teams. In total, either 124 or 186 matches tested per tactic then!

When you start testing again, could you include Goalazo?

Could you point me to a full season result from a first season with it maybe? We are considering testing 186 matches per tactic, so we need to be very selective here, or else it will be way too much work.

Check out the OP post about that. Currently I am tinkering with my own strategy so have had no chance to test it out properly, but I am interested in how it upholds
